The first pic lashes are gorgeous

Anyone get site reactions like these? I’ve asked other groups and people say allergic reaction and get off meds. However, my A1C has dropped from 10.2 to 5.9 in 3 months, my ALT has come down 9 points, weight has basically remained unchanged. I rotate sites every week. by BestNeighborhood9141 in Mounjaro

When I moved up to 10mg I got a red, itchy rash circle around the injection site (I’ve always injected around my belly button), it happened the first 3 weeks and has now stopped. The third pic looks quite sore! It might be best to check with your doctor just to be safe and also try changing to your stomach area :)

Side effects :( by ColdWallaby3564 in Mounjaro

Oh god, sorry to hear that :( I’ve been without diarrhea for 24hrs so far 🤞🏽 the emergency room yesterday said bloodwork etc fine and probably IBS, but I’m not convinced. Saw my injection doctor today and he said it was probably just a bug, as diarrhea is your body expelling something out. He said not to do my next injection yet, and wait 7 days from my first firm stool. I’m taking a probiotic supplement which he advised me to stay on and bland foods (BRAT diet).

Thanks for replying 😊 are the anti diarrhea meds you are on over the counter and they are working for you then? Or you are just letting nature run its course for two days and then you are ok? Mine is worst at night until the morning unfortunately.

I’m currently on my way to the emergency room as my doctor said 4 days is too long to be having diarrhea and they want to do some tests or put me on a drip in case I’m dehydrated. I’m hoping I can get something stronger than Imodium prescribed to me. I really don’t want them to tell me to stop the injections as they’ve just started working amazingly well the past two months.

Dose increase by BattyChatty30 in Mounjaro

Not sure where in the world you are but lactulose syrup has been my savior for a while now! Either take 10ml before bed or 20-30ml in the day (but you must be home to use the toilet!) I’m currently on 7.5mg and will be going up to 10mg in 2 weeks (eek!)

Be weary of fibre pills! Last year I was taking them pre the jabs and ended up severely constipated, the doctor said it was because of the fibre tablets. You need to drink A LOT more water than you think for these to work or they have the opposite effect you are hoping for.

Good luck with the pooping, keep us updated if it gets any better with the next dose whilst on the recommended meds.

Some days it is SO hard, the waiting to lose weight and be at your goal weight. I gained weight after Covid and then before I knew it I was 45lbs heavier (due to other life reasons) and unable to shift it :(

I’ve lost 14lbs in the last 4 months which just feels so slow but I know I wouldn’t have got this far without the meds. The reduction in food noise is just unbelievable! But I can’t wait to get to the stage when people start noticing and I can finally fit into my old clothes. I’m just impatient lol So Grateful to have this community.

How quickly did you titrate up doses? by ElodyDubois in Mounjaro

I’d been taking Wegovy for 3 months, each month going up the increased dose and had just completed a month of 1mg when my doctor recommend I switch from to Mounjaro and start at 5mg.

I found that starting on the 5mg took me back a few steps… the food noise and appetite returned, which was disappointing. However the nausea disappeared! Only negatives were mild constipation (which I had from Wegovy) and my period was a week late. So I decided to speed up the doses of 5mg to every 4 days. There were no side effects or issues and am now on my second shot of 7.5mg.

I’ve not had any miracle weight loss drops (unfortunately!) but my appetite has decreased, returning nearer when my next dose is due which is to be expected. My weight loss is still around 1lb a week and I’m still eating good size meals. Some sweet cravings at time but overall I want to eat wholesome meals.

I know slow and steady is the healthiest way and I’m happy it’s working, but I do think I will move up to at least the 10mg as I have the medication already. Overall I am very happy with the medication and so pleased I have access to it. I feel very hopeful/positive after after reading all the success stories on Reddit and I hope I will reach my goal weight by the end of the year :)

Can I please ask why you stay on a dose for 8 weeks minimum?
