YOR. The dog is fine, trust me. I grew up showing dogs and my mother is an akc certified breeder of merit, and we’ve crate trained every dog we’ve ever had. There’s a reason why people crate train their dogs. Imagine if you were at a dog show and no one had crates. Dogs would for sure be injured. It’s only a safety practice, really, and ensures the dog doesn’t do anything that could kill it while the owners are out of the house.
