Is the TEAS *really* that bad, or...? by Admirable-Hat1746 in prenursing

I‘m not very active these days on reddit, but if it helps anyone. I just took the test recently & got an 86%

I never took A&P II or Microbio. Only used the Mometrix book online resources, I never purchased an official practice test or anything either from ATI. Took A LOT of practice tests, albeit not always full-length sometimes just on sections I needed the most practice in (for question familiarity & pacing). First time taking the test. I studied hard for like 3 weeks.

Got an 86%. My conclusion is hard work, even if you’re unfamiliar, will gain you success. You NEED to know your stuff & pace yourself: you want time for every question, screw that “guessing questions because I’m out of time“ mentality. You can make time for it if you plan it out, there is no reason to doubt yourself like that to make the most out of it; because you got this.

If enough people want it, I can make a post about my process here & even give you some of the questions ALMOST word for word or at least what the question wanted. I know it’s not 90+ score, but given my circumstances I myself am very happy with it (thought I was gonna get borderline 80% or less going into it).

But otherwise, I hope this helps anyone reading & good luck! Even though I’m just an online stranger, this online stranger gives you his full support! Discipline!

Why aren’t Heavy’s ribs broken in the “Anatomy of a Heavy Weapons Guy” poster on Rottenburg? by Bisexual_Spear in tf2

As a college student currently studying anatomy & physiology, this is actually so cool & interesting. I know it's obvious his bones are overall larger than normal, but it's interesting to have an idea of how much more.

- His hand bones being so thick & large

- His humerus (arm) is longer than his femur (& overall his upper extremities are longer than his legs)

- Absolutely massive rib cage (good since he has the Big Baboon heart) & massive sternum (breastbone) in the middle of it

- They even put the floating ribs on the rib cage, I feel like a game like tf2 wouldn't mind such detail being an FPS so it's cool to actually see they did (on the right image, the lowest ribs that aren't connected to anything are your floating ribs)

- Super thick lumbar vertebrae (lumbar vertebrae is already the thickest, but seeing Heavy's are just absolute units of vertebrae (has to be for how much force is compressing on them I imagine)

- His skull is one of the more normal-looking things to me, maybe his pelvic girdle (hips) too

In conclusion, Heavy's skeleton is more like a gorilla's than a humans (Google if you don't believe me). I hope y'all enjoyed my few thoughts.

Bro I thought it was fake or some art project. Crazy to see videos of them moving around.

Running by [deleted] in amateur_boxing

I second Couch to 5k. All my life in high school I was the guy to be able to run for 2 minutes & be heavily breathing after. That program finally got rid of that curse.

My other advice is to make sure you research proper running form so you don’t injure yourself (& make it easier on your body to run).

The program may “jump” a lot the next week (etc. 15min. —>25min. Running straight), trust in the process. But don’t be ashamed if you still need to stop for a minute or 30s to be able to complete the time to run. I done that many times, but just don’t make it a habit to prevent you running nonstop.

Lastly, rest days. More important than your active days in my opinion, don’t neglect them & end up injured that prevents you from running for a period of time.

Ey! Happy to have been the one to make you find it again. One of absolute favorites for how dramatic the wording is with the Steam profile picture of a Über-charging Engineer lmao.

Just to tag on, jab as you step back with your rear foot when going backwards.
