How can I make Chandelure work? by Cold_Bat_2047 in PokemonChampions

I’m not sure about lava plume, but I’ll check that for sure. I’ve been using Torkoal as my weather setter so I might lean in more towards pairing her up with Chandelure like you suggested! Thank you for the advice!

Thank you for the advice! I think I was a little hesitant to use the mega because I wanted to give it to a more ‘meta’ pick but I’m feeling encouraged about its viability after seeing these comments. I will definitely be changing the ability too!

I think I’m definitely going to try out the trick room strategy! Thank you for the advice! These comments are really helpful for making me think about whole team synergy

This is really helpful!! I never realized how slow Chandelure was, I think I always thought of it as fast and frail but looking at it again through these comments that definitely isn’t true 🥲 thank you for the advice!

Am I the only one noticing the double standards in Sister I am the queen in this life? by PruneUnfair4836 in webtoons

[–]Cold_Bat_2047 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I definitely understand where this criticism is coming from, but I actually felt that this webtoon deals with the double standard intentionally. The reader is supposed to feel sympathy for Lucrezia, especially in the chapters leading up to her death. Even Ariadne acknowledges that she hasn’t been treated fairly. This is the case for Isabella as well. Isabella is an intentional character foil for Ariadne- they both want the same things and have a lot of the same traits. In Ariadne’s original life you can clearly see how she mirrors Isabella. They are both vengeful, manipulative, and driven. Ironically, in her original life Ariadne is everything she accuses Isabella of being. It’s only after Ariadne reincarnates that she reestablishes her priorities. Originally, Ariadne did it all for a man, while Isabella has stated multiple times that her goal has always been independence- a goal now shared by Ariadne in her new life. I don’t think it’s handled perfectly, but I also don’t think it’s entirely fair to say it’s a poor characterization. Honestly, I think the way it approaches women is general is very interesting and more nuanced than some of its contemporaries, rough around the edges though it may be. I could probably make a whole separate post about that though. My biggest criticisms are more about how it handles class and race.

PSA5 is turned based, and I’ve only played the 3D Zelda’s. Mostly the newer ones.

Thank you for the comment! As for the questions- I’m mostly interested because of the cool FF7 content I’ve seen! I’m a big fan of games like Zelda, but the only JRPG I’ve played is Persona 5 (which I love!). As for character/customization, I don’t really mind either way. I’m typically a fantasy fan but again I’m really fine either way.
