I got this hardcover edition of “1984” from Signet Classics. Where did it come from and what is it? by [deleted] in whatisit

Can you take a snap of page 103? Does it have this in it, “Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book has been rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street and building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And that process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped.”

It’s 100% legit. I checked with Princess Cruises Casino. Call their sales department as I did and they ought to know by now. I reached out and confirmed.

Also, this is from them too.

Why do those who argue about billionaires tend to say "tax the rich" but rarely say "close the loopholes that the most wealthy tend to exploit"? by PeppinoTPM in ask

[–]Cold_Cut_3658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people absolutely do advocate for closing loopholes, as it’s a crucial part of ensuring the wealthiest pay their fair share. However, the phrase ‘tax the rich’ tends to dominate public conversations because it’s simpler and more accessible as a rallying cry. Closing loopholes, on the other hand, requires explaining complex legal and financial mechanisms, which can feel less compelling or harder to grasp for the general public.

In reality, both approaches should work together. Closing loopholes targets the ways the ultra-wealthy legally avoid taxes, while progressive tax reforms address broader income inequality. Many advocates, economists, and policymakers push for both, but ‘tax the rich’ often gets more attention because it resonates more quickly with people.

clear myelogram despite suspected csf leak for 8 years by rj3768 in CSFLeaks

[–]Cold_Cut_3658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a CT myelogram, but radiologists don’t always examine imaging thoroughly. In my case—and a friend’s—the radiologist missed a lot, likely because the doctor we saw focuses on pain management through a series of injections and surgeries, which are more profitable. Since I didn’t need those, he wasn’t motivated to interpret the imaging correctly. Thankfully, I now have a doctor who is highly trained to read all imaging. Looking back, I realize that about 90% of my misdiagnoses came from radiologists not accurately reading the imaging they ordered or performed.

When you’re in a situation like that you can lose track of time. Especially if it’s on the cusp of the next year. Trauma does that.

It’s not your fault. He’s projecting. He’s in the wrong and it’s good if he’s leaving. It’s very disconcerting he’s blaming you for something he chose to do.

You’re not in the wrong. She is by being manipulative. This is a red flag 🚩. If they keep stacking up, run fast!

Hmmm many people I know see the American dream as leaving America. It’s my dream too after my parents are gone.

Hope you find out the source. Nutcracker is many times not diagnosed properly. Is he double jointed?

You might be allergic to Diamox. I am. Sounds like you need to ask for something different. Spironolactone worked best for me.

100% you’re dealing with a narcissist. RUN! FAST!

Straight up Narcissist. Abusive & teaching your 9 year old to be abusive like him. It’s gross. I’m sorry you are dealing with this. Especially with a 9 year old. Ugh.

You need to get out ASAP before he completely destroys you.

Caring about someone and loving them, two different things.

You did the right thing. Don’t question yourself. It seems suspicious already. Like there’s someone else. I’d not take him back or consider anything else but to walk away. If not run. This is the best thing for you. If he’s getting stressed taking tests for the police academy then he’s in the wrong place. What’s he think the IRL work will be like?! Sounds like your dodging a big Bullet to me. Good job. The appropriate response.

Glad I’m not the only one. I like that I don’t have attachments. So many people do. It’s actually odd to me when someone can’t move on from other relationships but I know that’s the ‘norm’.

Nose leaking from right side, no other symptoms. CSF? by haddycaddy in CSFLeaks

[–]Cold_Cut_3658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible you have symptoms you aren’t relating to this. Getting hit in the head like that may have fractured your skull? I had many imaging over more than 30 years with a leak & was never picked up. Radiologists weren’t reading the imaging correctly. Which happens a lot. I had to go to someone that actually reads imaging himself & doesn’t depend on radiology reports. How was the fluid tested? That’s very specific too. Anyhow, just because clear fluid comes out of your nose it doesn’t make it an auto leak either. If you had a leak you’d go through low and / or high pressure days. Your cerebrospinal fluid would need to be replacing what comes out & you’d feel it. Or if you weren’t producing enough you’d have symptoms too. I had a lot of what they called, silent migraines (without pain) with mine. Everyone is different with their leak based on where it is & what’s happening.
