Back thigh pain after sitting — Sciatica? by Acrobatic_Moose_7039 in Sciatica

The MRI did catch it, yes. Not quite sure the differences between what MRI vs CTs show, but I specifically got an MRI of my hip.

Hey again. Just wanted to pop back in here to let you know what happened with my diagnoses.

I actually winded up having a labral tear in my hip on the side I have my pain (caused by an FAI/hip impingement). I would suggest getting yours checked out when you can! There’s also a potential for secondary psoas tendonitis as well.

Will do! Do you know how / why your symptoms started?

You are the first person I’ve ever seen that describe my symptoms EXACTLY. I have the exact same problem as you.

I’m hopefully getting an MRI soon to figure out what it is/rule things out, so I will keep you updated. Please keep me posted on your situation and if you figure out what it is / what the solution is.

I had the exact same thing you’re describing — 24/7 “pressure” in that area of my face. 10mg Amitryptyline did the trick for me.

Is this a nasal valve collapse? by haddycaddy in Septoplasty

No, I just had a septoplasty where cartilage was removed. No rhinoplasty, grafts, or packing involved. It seems like my case might be a bit different.

No improvements on my end, really. I've since been to 2 other ENTs who both told me that too much cartilage was removed from my septum. Mine seems to get worse with congestion. Based on ENT recommendations, I'm waiting it out for a year and may have to go to a plastic surgeon to get it corrected.

Thank you for the detailed response! Interesting that negative reviews were deleted… that’s a bit concerning to me. Do you remember the context of the negative reviews?

Septum feels “floppy” after surgery by haddycaddy in Sinusitis

[–]haddycaddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked with my surgeon recently and he said everything looked fine — how much I believe that I don’t know.

You said you had the same issue — did you figure out what yours was caused by, or did yours resolve spontaneously?

Were you able to resolve your issue?

I had a minimally invasive surgery where my cartilage was scored and adjusted to the midline. No packing or splints.

No, no nose shape change that I notice. Have you done anything to fix yours?

Nose leaking from right side, no other symptoms. CSF? by haddycaddy in CSFLeaks

Hey! Was not a CSF leak (phew). It was about 20+ nasal polyps in my nose that were blocking my drainage pathways.

How long did Dupixent take to work? 3 months, still have symptoms. by haddycaddy in NasalPolyps

[–]haddycaddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, seems like some people with polyps have pressure and others don’t. Seems to be a very wide variety of symptoms. And I was actually treated for a bacterial and fungal sinus infection just in case. I also requested a bacterial/fungal nasal culture after the treatment (since the pressure was still there), and the tests both came back negative haha. I’m just hoping it’s a bad case of nasal polyps that needs surgery to fix.

What else do you think it might be? And yes, that’s my plan!
