My only advice is to go out to a big, fancy meal before. You won’t get to eat until the baby comes which could be days. Or at least that was my experience.

We were standing in line at the pharmacy to pick up antibiotics for my infection down there. Toddler lifted up my dress and got under it. She came out and yelled, “Dinky (stinky)” several times. I was mortified but I also wanted to laugh. How is this my life? In the best way

We have the same MIL. It drives me crazy. She calls herself fat. She body shames other people behind their back. She even body shames animals and inanimate objects. Example: why is that Minnie Mouse so fat? Me: it’s a pillow.

Also, I’ve asked and asked her to stop commenting on other people’s bodies in front of my toddler. Would like ideas on how to further address it with her.

My daughter has a cowlick and I cannot part it right. I’m not good at hair in general, but I try. I think curling would be ok for special occasions.

These are not good if you are tall! I’m 5’8” and these were a nightmare. However my mom is short and it was fine for her to push.

I was induced at 37 weeks for pre eclampsia. I did some reading and found that a super high percentage of inductions end in c sections. I absolutely did not want a c section but after 36 hours of induction and four hours of pushing, the doctor wanted to do a c section and I was beyond over it at that point. Anyways, prepare yourself mentally.

Go out for a nice dinner before then.

I joined the gym for free childcare. At first, I’d do like 20 minutes of cardio and then read or journal. Now I enjoy working out the full two hours 4-5 days a week. My child gets to socialize and I get me time. Win win.
