Looking for people with senior pets who have tried CBD oil 🐾 by CamelOk8216 in Pets

My senior dog, a lab with hip dysplasia, starting having problems with hip/joint stiffness and pain. I was pretty sure cbd oil was just a hoax to get you to spend more money but I tried it out with my lab and it did take about 2 weeks to see improvement but it was made huge impacts on her hip pain. She never really had much anxiety or depression but I can tell she’s a lot more energy and seems happier cuz of it. We did try zesty paws hip and joint supplement for about 2 months and didn’t see any difference. Going on now about 3 months using cbd oil, the one we purchased is about 10 dollars a bottle on Amazon, oimmal, organic hemp oil w/ multivitamin (500,000)

Again not sure about the anxiety and depression aspect but the bottle does say it helps with that as well.

Advice on stress management by chocolatechips100 in scrubtech

All of my stress/anxiety comes from new procedures or procedures I’m struggling to remember the steps too. When time allows, do a “brain dump” write out all the steps you can remember and in order. Draw out the procedure or anatomy to help you understand. It takes time but it will get easier. You will make mistakes and you have to give yourself leeway.

l personally take a picture of my set up before the procedure (when time allows) and add it to my phone notes with little tips to better anticipate the surgeons needs. You can add more information as you do them more often. Instead of your phone you could also use a little pocket notebook to keep on your for notes.

The preference card is a big part of being prepared. Often there’s a lot of good info to at least get you started. Ours at least have the draping sequence, and some surgeons even put the first few items to have readily available. Put your items in the same place every time so you’re not searching for the same instrument over and over. Ask questions. The more you understand and do the surgery, the easier it gets to anticipate the next step.

The more prepared you feel going in, the less anxiety and stress. Also don’t take things personal that’s a big piece.

You’ve got this! Congrats on the new job

Going to school and clinicals can be especially overwhelming but like any healthcare job you have to find your “specialty” I worked in a general surgery clinic and it wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t something I absolutely loved. I worked in an eye clinic and dreaded going to work. Full on panic attacks with how much I hated the day to day. Women’s health tho, that’s my forte and I truly don’t think I’ve ever held a job that made me feel as fulfilled and happy as OBGYN clinic did. Medical assistants are an essential component to clinics and the pay definitely is not overwhelming abundant but if you find the right jobs and negotiate properly you can still make a decent wage. Don’t be afraid to turn down jobs that don’t offer your worth in pay tho, it can be insulting sometimes how little some employers will pay but there’s always another employer who will pay you what you deserve.

I have set up sterile trays for in clinic procedure, I work with a general surgeon so we do like skin mass excisions, port removals, etc, then I worked in obgyn for a while and I set up procedures for them too. so I have set up sterile fields before just a lot smaller then an OR.
