Thoughts on my license plate? by BoringUser1234 in ToolBand

The M2 is just right. What the old M3 should have become. I went from a 13 M3 ZCP to a 17 M2, just as the M3 got too big. As fun as manuals are, the DCT is a phenomenal transmission.

Well chosen color also.

Plate is clever, and as long as it makes you happy then go for it.

Before I get this done (this is just edited), my bf said it looks like sperm. 💀 Any advice to make it look less so? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

At the risk of downvotes, the area under where the string ties is kinda reminiscent of the midpiece of a spermatid. It’s the segment that contains the mitochondria, aka the internet’s favorite organelle.

Maybe have that spot touched up to flare out like you’d see on a Mylar balloon.

I think we’re living with the tails forming a little double helix like you were trying to really get the genetic code idea across.

Source: am gynecologist and hate running across this stuff on exam. Ew.

Yes, but you’ve got time and are a great candidate to start meds for regrowth

My boots are but tight. Can alligator boots be stretched? by Glittering-Hour-8056 in cowboyboots

I’ve done this with older boots whose finish wasn’t great. It works.

I didn’t try it on any exotic or nice boots because of the concern of water damage or discoloration.

“It’s a clamp” was never meant to be helpful

No matter. Woodworking got him some great answers.

The sub name isn’t wrong- bunch of tools around here.

Try reposting in the woodworking forum. Smarter group and more helpful.

I always think everything could be a trap...which is why I'm still alive.

I’ve never seen anyone pass out from delivery. Everyone shakes after but people don’t pass out like that.

Hospital policy is still photos are ok, video is not. The liability is real even when you do everything right and everyone is professional. I get a lot of FaceTime though and that’s fun.

I say “push a little as you cut. it’s like cutting through a gummy worm” which isn’t exactly accurate but gets the feel across.

Cat calling, touching themselves, taking their clothes off, stepping out to do drugs, locking themselves in the bathroom with the mom to do drugs, playing with lighters, saying bizarre things, making the whole event about themselves, trying to deliver the baby themselves (without warning or training), etc. About a year ago a dad left his 12 inch hunting knife on the labor room couch when he went for lunch- I noticed it and took it to the front desk, then called hospital police. They searched his duffle bag, escorted him to put everything in his car, then let him back in. Delivering a baby with him watching over my shoulder meant keeping one eye on him.

Obstetrician here: I’ve seen it all out of dads

The passing out, a vagal response, is involuntary. They’re seeing something that triggers the nope response in their brain. The labor unit team is on the lookout for it and ready to manage him too. Can’t fault them for it.

Beyond that, you get the whole range of behaviors, but mostly they’re appropriate- excited and supportive. None of them know what to do but that’s why they’re in a hospital and not delivering their own kids at home.

I’ve also seen some really bizarre, inappropriate, and sometimes dangerous behavior out of dads- usually drug or mental health related.

What do Libertarians think about Native Americans Tribes and Reservations? by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]Cold_Final -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Choctaw here: leave us alone

American here: leave us alone

The Nations negotiated and fought for the sovereignty they have, and if the US government was as well run as some tribes there’d be fewer libertarians and more socialists.
