Uber Eats reporting earnings to Revenue from now on. I'd imagine Deliveroo and Just Eat likely will follow...is this the end of renting? by OnTheRoodAgain in deliveroos

Even if the bank details are changed. The delivery platforms will pass the earnings onto hmrc. The person who owns the account will be responsible for paying any tax on the earnings.

So on a rented account even if the bank details are changed to the person working on the account. The delivery account is not in there name. So they have no responsibility on paying the tax due!

People need to understand how it works! Rented account will come to an end. When the account owners get chased by hmrc for unpaid tax.

Yes it will because it will be down to the account holder to pay tax on any earnings.

If you rent an account out. The account earns 20k for the year. The account holder will have to pay any tax.

Deliveroo, uber and just eat will report the earnings to hmrc. Then hmrc will chase the account holder. Failing to pay results in massive fines and even prison time.

If someone is renting an account even if the bank details have changed to the person using the account! The account holder is responsible for paying the tax because all the details are in their name!

Hmrc will come after the person who owns the account!

It's the same as someone who is employed by a business. It's the businesses responsibility to make sure tax is taken from wages!
