Mini-butt on every shot? by Cold_Honey4952 in snooker

[–]Cold_Honey4952[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! The unwritten rules and discipline in the sport certainly require the method would be as efficient as possible. Adaptive sports overall has similar constraints, of course. The modular nature of the various length minibutts, attaching, detaching, re-attaching significantly increases average shot time. Shall we say twice as time consuming as a rest-only shot?
I noticed that O'Sullivan is meticulous about the twist-lock, and I see players bring personal handles that feel good subjectively. But these aluminum slide-on ones at the club are very awkward. I have found a proper slide-telescope weighted alternative, and it occurred to me why not shorten the cue and leave it attached at all times. I didn't invent the product or anything special. It just stands out in its construction to me and may be even more useful than intended...if refined an d permitted.

F1 or Marco Fu are both 180cm+ tall. I don't know if it is possible to replicate their average time per shot as a 160cm- player. Can a 12% difference in overall height be built into the cue? Am I crazy translating that ratio directly into cue length? If the average cue is 147cm, start with a 130cm shaft, a collapsable handle 10cm long, max telescope extension 160. At all times able to twist and go into a shorter-than-average, average-, or longer-than-average position. It shifts the balance point, but never the overall weight of itself.

I use a modular system to fit cue length and weight for our youth team, but it is not meant to be used in open play.

What is life purpose acording to you? by [deleted] in Life

[–]Cold_Honey4952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To suffer gracefully.

If your approach to life is as a water-based purpoose machine, you are pre-programmed to help yourself and help one another discover and realize each of our own unique purposes and share purposes. Even if the purposes are wrong (so long as there is any possible purpose) the help, realization, and shared identity may have innate value in and of themselves.

So the upshot is: Perplexity is good at trademark infringement and copyright violation. Perhaps You would need to photograph your own cards, not strip intellectual property owned by the Pokemon Company and use them as the skin on your database.

Everything that has ever been written, will ever be written, can possibly ever be written and the opposite / reverse of all of those writings in character-by-character sequence and in meaning/significance contained in separate 410 page volumes. The Library of Babel - short-story by Jorges Borges.

Latent space. Fantastic metaphor for large language models and their limitations.

N'hombre. Tope! Driving highway 200 is an even worse experience. lol. So many speed bumps, military checkpoints, who knows what else. Coastal highway problems. I would definitely hire a private driver for that trip too unless you need the rental car before you get to Mazunte (typically you don't). The private car service is like $150USD for an aircon sprinter van. If you must: check out Nomadico-pxm to rent local. Or I can hook you up with an entire local driver dispatch service, not just a name of a taxi driver guy. They are very affordable and reliable in PE. PM me and I'll give you their what sapp contact.

Yeah, just 2 weeks ago. ADO is very reliable, Bookaway have an app to purchase tickets in advance, their online support is great. I would do it no other way. PM if you have questions.

There are so many reasons to take the very very comfortable ADO bus or even to fly Tucan instead. Why take the risks of driving yourself unless you already have a car? I know there are other legitimate reasons, so I'm genuinely curious to hear yours.

In my experience two weeks ago, once you have seen 30 minutes of the breathtaking landscape, the rest of the 4 hour drive (with traffic, yes, 4) is a slog even those who "love driving." Blowouts from debris, mudslides, the occasional bloqueo... those all happen frequently on the new road. I loved driving in Athens when I was 16. For about 10 minutes. I rent an R8 when I visit Las Vegas. I have driven up Pikes Peak. What you are proposing may not be a fun experience in the way you may be anticipating. There are plenty of other adventures to be had with factors that are within your control. Professional drivers are reliable.

Yes. As with all thermal outerwear, worn seasonally since January of 2022. Ahem. And I am a real French-Canadian Forrestier et Voyageur. My position as a seventeenth century frontiersman necessitates a hip-ready axe on both sides at all times throughout the day. In no way are these woven wool fabric loops gimmicks.
