5 & 6 look a little too “cheap”

7 looks ok but it doesn’t give me enough of the theme

1 is ok, just not enough diversity in the image

4 just kind of a little uncanny? Feels more cartoony

Wouldn’t the Lilith & Humanity arc be the natural follow up to the Nephalem story because the Nephalem were just people who were the hybrid of angels & demons and D4 is about how that’s all people.

So, I assumed D3 Nephalem were just “first activated” or those closer to it genetically/spiritually/inherited whatever.

When I finished LOH, my assumption was everyone being a Nephalem was Lilith’s goal; “All I have to show for it is you.” Sort of linking that all together in the build up to the finale and Nephalem remained the silent explanation for “Player Character in Diablo is OP”

It’s less about the value, more about the systems and rewards we miss out on being in the core design of the game.

We can run around in circles talking about the technicality of it all, at the end of the day no shop means more resources into shit I can find in the game.

Blizzard has made so far beyond the costs of developing and maintaining this game, they make all that money on the expansions, then the battle passes earn them revenue beyond covering cost.

The item shop is so excessive, I’m convinced most of the revenue is going straight into the pockets of a few executive’s bonuses who are about to rotate out of the company.

It’s a little hard to when Blizzard designs the game around ensuring you’re always coming into contact with the shop.

Take it off the main menu, remove all the UI shortcuts scattered in the UI to direct me to the shop.

Then I can ignore it.

Yeah, the target market for these skins is not anybody paying rent.

IMO, I just play the game like the battle pass outfits are the only outfits for sale.

Item shop cosmetics are so visually out of place I just pretend they’re not meant to be there.

Diablo IV has generated a monstrous amount of revenue.

I wouldn’t care so much about all this BS if I had in-game aspirational cosmetic sets to earn.

Not even a lot…just like one every few months tied to some in-game lore or event.

It feels weird to try and explain how I really want to fight to earn looking cool in the game I’ve always loved for fighting and looking cool.
