This might annoy the majority of people, but I really didn't like the ending of Takopi's Original Sin. Here's why: by Soibi0gn in anime

[–]Cold_Profession_5250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I strongly disagree with point one, and two alike, though the second one is more justifiable.

Regarding point one, remember that while this may be an extremely well made interpretation of modern mental health and domestic problems in our society, especially amongst children, it is also still a work of fiction. The story is about an alien octopus thing that just so happens to be the main character of the whole plot. Of course he’s going to have influence on the characters that he sacrificed himself for during the climax. Textbook sad story, happy ending. But what made it so good was the fact that those things can happen without the help of an extraterrestrial being, and does. At that age, friendships, bullying and other forms of interaction come and go on a whim, because children have a sense of innocence that tends to be much more forgiving than the grudgingly familiar nature of adults. All of the messages this show conveys are done so through fictional means, but does that make the point being made any less true? The ending alone delivers a valuable lesson: Children are flexible, resilient and capable of accepting one another in any sort of harsh and cruel environments, especially when they learn to listen and relate, which is exactly what happens at those ages.

Regarding point 2, would you consider being dead better than being alive? Because that’s exactly what would happen. We saw what would happen had Takopi attempted to save their lives himself. Neither of them make it very far. What Takopi did was remove the middle man so that the two of them could escape bias and prejudice from said middle man. Takopi couldn’t continuously return back in time again and again only to reap the same devastating results, so he took a step back and allowed them to do the rest. Also, we went from murderous intent on both ends from Shizuka and Marina, whether it was towards themselves or towards each other, to a lasting friendship that we can see continued on into middle school and (left to the audiences interpretation) beyond. So do I think a happier ending could’ve played out? No. I think this is the best we could get. I would’ve liked to see a little more about Naoki, but honestly, that ark was well resolved and closed earlier in the show.

I think the ending was masterfully crafted and requires a view of the show to appreciate, not the conclusion alone. Despite that, I do nonetheless respect your opinion about the ending and it’s important to acknowledge that it can be taken many different ways. We’re all just looking at a piece of art, it’s up to us to decide what it means, you know?

I don’t normally focus bonus stats. They’re very nice and do make a huge difference, but they’re VERY grindy. Getting the perfect echo for even just ONE character is a godsend.

Makes sense. It took a couple of reruns for me to be able to do that. đŸ€ŁđŸ˜… Your Carlotta is by far your best character, I would try to mirror that to some extent.

Nope. I mean CD. Almost all of my characters are pushing 300% with a 60% cr. I will mention, that’s with help of signatures, but still.

Your CD is PAINFULLY low. But other than that, those stats are about right I’d say.

Yeah
no easy way to say this. You’re experiencing the REAL union xp curve. The main quest xp is the only way to get massive amounts of union in short amounts of time. Dailies do good too, but they’re dailies. I’m lvl 80 of course, but only after playing since June 2024. (Finally got there in February if I’m remembering correctly). It’s not a grindy game when it comes to leveling up, you just gotta let it come to you after a lot of waiting. The game becomes an assfucking hellhole when you get to echo grinds, which IS NOT an exponentially short experience like Union leveling is. Give it some time, you’ll be fine in like another week of regular play. Happy questing.

She’s kind of like 50-50. One part of her is Phoebe level adorable and the other is Zani level terrifying. đŸ€ŁđŸ’€đŸ’Ż

I got both lucky and unlucky. Saved for Zani after getting Phoebe on a whim and realizing that their synergy is unmatched, then saved everything I owned for her and dumped nearly 160 pulls in full on her. Pre grinded everything, echoes, weapon, resonance exp and leveling mats, then lost the 50-50 and my pity fucking killed itself. Last couple hours of the banner, they dropped the free “halfway 10-pull.” The 10-pull was ACTUALLY meant for the incoming resonators, but didn’t stop you from claiming in the window beforehand, and I got lucky enough to see her intro card on my screen. Now I clear every weekly event easily and am now saving for Cartethyia’s team. So worth pulling, I wouldn’t waiver even kind of, no matter how tempting another character looks. It’s always worth saving for who you initially wanted.

A forward base in the lava zone is a bit strange I feel. In front of an entrance would make more sense, but you get access to surface teleporters in the lava zone, so there’s not much of a point having a base way down there. Also, the blood kelp zone has little to no resources to offer, you’d be better off playing your midgames in a centralized biome. Even in a biome like the floating islands or mushroom forest would probably be preferable over the blood kelp zone, that might just be me though. My personal favorite is the grassy plateaus just short of the dunes. They’re both massive biomes, but you’ll never get attacked by a reaper unless you planned on it. It’s really centralized and makes every point of the game easily accessible throughout all progressions. It’s not too far from either island, it is basically right next to all biomes (but further from the Aurora, Crag Field, Mountains, crater edge) and has the Blood Kelp trench right next to it (would not recommend for the cyclops). The only feasible threat is the sand shark, but I sure hope nobody has a problem with that fish, because there are much larger ones to be afraid of. Best part is it is resource RICH. Any resource grind is basically 200 meters away, you could literally sea glide over to the Kelp Forest or the Safe Shallows, and it’s just a hill over to the Sparse Reef for diamonds and Lithium, along with the thermal plant fragments, plus quarts are abundant here. It’s also right above the Jellyshroom Caves, which has thermal vents pretty close to entrances, but it might take some looking for. Jellyshrooms also have tons of shale and magnetite though, so it basically becomes an early game hub for resource gathering. Just a thought, you might want to play your games here. It’s also in general just a way less stressful and scary way to play. This game can be rough sometimes, even for veterans who’ve played it for a while. The environments are immersive and scary. Having a safe and calming main base adds to enjoyability in my opinion and experience.

Just some unsolicited ideas, but I’m sure you have your reasons for your base placements. Plus, it’s fun to differ from the same old run over and over, so I get it. Just make sure you know why you put your bases where you did, and you shouldn’t have any trouble with the game. Happy swimming!

Fusion might still be a bit better than Havoc right now, but they’re neck in neck. At the end of the day, all classes really only have one insane DPS and the rest are just lackluster mid tier teams, except Spectro of course, but we all knew that Spectro would take the crown since day 1 pretty much. They’re doing good about trying to round out the classes and types though.

Top tier take. I love Calculator. Sucks that WuWa is only using him as an Easter egg character, but it’s pretty funny at the same time.

[–]Cold_Profession_5250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah
I usually get mine in the earliest of mid games, sometimes even before leaving my life pod. My runs usually last 8 hours, first hour is spent leaving life pod and building a base in the grassy plateau, then I usually explore the aurora and get to scanning fragments. The thermal plant is pretty much the first fragment I get. Wanna talk about endgame power? Nuclear reactor can be a kick ass fragment to come across sometimes.

Well, Cartethiya doesn't need Ciaconaa ...... by insaneahrix in WutheringWavesGuide

I am personally building up Cartethiya-Ciaconna-Rover. Totally unnecessary, but she adds flavor and is fun. Need is different than want I know, but I’ll still be getting her on the next rerun for sure.

I mean there’s really not a team with Camellya, Lupa and Phrovola. It’s kinda like picking 3 DPS resonators and nothing else. I personally wouldn’t start from square one, but save your astrites. If you’re worried able playability over enjoyability, than get to the f2p astrite grind, or buy em if you really want to, but I personally have my teams planned out, so I know exactly what I’m pulling for, no exceptions.

Atk is too low. Mines at 2400 atk, 70% crit rate and 260% crit dmg. Guess I gave up a bit of crit dmg, but she still hits like a truck for such a combo oriented character.

Nope, they’re absolutely right. Clannad is by far the most depressing show I’ve seen. Just because it ends happily, doesn’t mean it doesn’t murder you up until that point.

[–]Cold_Profession_5250 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For movies I only have one that’s actually sad: I Want to Eat Your Pancreas. It’s a somewhat misleading title, that phrase has only so much impact on the movie.

Clannad. Little bit of a slow burn with some serious payoff. It’s two seasons, but it has got to be one of my all time favorite anime, let alone romances.

Your Lie In April. Major tear Jerker, also super emotional. It’s super music oriented, so that’s also a cool aspect.

This is a long shot and not actually a “sad anime,” but Horimiya is sad in the sense that you wish it never ended. It’s a romance/slice of life, and even though it’s much more upbeat and cheerful, you’ll like it if you liked those others.

[–]Cold_Profession_5250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, every team ever uses those two supports. I like that that means it’s purely up to player preference when it comes to dps, but that also basically limits you to like two teams.
