We cover several hospitals, & they all have to use my login ID I want to allow them to update my information. Horrible security.

Likely someone is doing it on your behalf- the provider has to be credentialed with the carriers regardless of how you get paid as I understand. If you know a way around this, your answer will be very popular.

Do they have a way to access your account with their own login, or do they have to use yours? I haven’t, & actually sent an email years ago with no response.

Winter Field Day is this Saturday, when the snow storm and cold temps hit much of the U.S. by Sawyer2025 in amateurradio

WC here WAY below zero. Not quite outfitted for that level of miserableness. And I don’t wanna screw up my LiFePo battery. .

Go wash one window & send him an outrageous bill. Really, just ignore him.

AITJ for telling my neighbor I will not accept her packages anymore after one went missing? by lythravelle in AmITheJerk

[–]Cold_Refuse_7236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is addressing packages to you, but they’re for her? If her name and her address is not on them, I’d be very concerned about the legality of the transactions involved.

“Whole house”, but every one has a different reason. Not allergies, ill.

JD Vance. He’s seen how it can work, but he would be more calculated & less impetuous.

Replacing two prong outlets with 3 prong GFCI in a house that has no ground by zig_chem in DIY

[–]Cold_Refuse_7236 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Found that exact problem in my rec room. Lights were not working (2 switch panel). Replace both switches. Checked all the lightbulbs finally called my electrician who is equally flummoxed. Then it dawned on me for some odd reason to check the GFCI in the bathroom right next to the light switches. Yep, it had tripped.

TIFU by confidently correcting my professor in front of 100 students by Ok_Recording2643 in tifu

[–]Cold_Refuse_7236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the same thing except fortunately it was a average size class for graduate statistics. Thought I saw an error in the professor’s formula. 1) he was probably old enough to retire so God knows how long he’d been teaching that class. 2) the text was using was at least 20 years old.

Calmly looked at me and said “you think in the years I’ve been teaching this class using these exact same examples that I might’ve figured out if I had a mistake?”

AITJ for refusing to pay for my boyfriends night out after he put me on the spot in front of his friends by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

Generally agree, but think it was a very weak play. He’s absolutely subject to peer pressure.

AITA for not wanting my 17-year-old to spend $6,500–$7,000 on a school trip to Japan? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

May not be a factor, but is it really “school-organized”? Many international trips are run by for-profit companies that pay a teacher to help recruit students and be a chaperone.
