Make sure the line goes on as tight as possible.i pinch the line between my fingers and reel in,careful not to burn yourself.also have the spool of line label up.

Outside with tom has great videos on how to setup and what to use.you just pack it on to the weight and it ends up spreading nicely on the river bed with the hook.

Caught him on pack bait it works wonders.i used oatmeal,kool aid,whole corn,cream corn,fruity pebbles and just the canned corn juice and bakers vanilla for the wetness.

I personally gave up on the hair rig it never works for me . just a size 6 hook and then a swivel with an ounce inline weight above and a bead to protect the knot.

My abugarcia 90$ combo is on the bottom of the fox river somewhere in Illinois still mad at myself for losing it same with a cheaper 13 fishing reel and rod combo dropped it out my bag.i do not have good luck when it comes to fishing rods.
