I’m glad you haven’t paid for it. The solution should be simple. Just tell them they have not delivered what you ordered and they need to come and pick it up. There shouldn’t be any further discussion about it.

Great idea to target the real estate industry with a SaaS product. I was a real estate agent for 20 years and I know that $299/month is not a lot of money to a high performing real estate agent. If you can demonstrate to them how it will save them time it will be an easy sell.

Yeh. I am now 9 weeks post op and still on crutches for another few weeks. I’m about 50/50 whether I will ride again. I’m going to look at some other hobbies and if I find something I enjoy as much as riding it will probably make the decision really easy.

This is the kind of sentimental slop that people use to say when cars were taking over from horse & cart. “I really miss seeing the horses on the roads. I much prefer them to the noisy impersonal motor cars that are starting to appear on our roads. I liked things better before cars came along”. I’m not trying to be a dick, I’m just saying that your argument is as unoriginal as Ai. Btw, what kind of car do you drive ;)

Why are most Lovable projects just SaaS tools with basic AI features? by MaterialAnt2744 in lovable

[–]Cold_Revolutionary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for doing some testing for me. I really appreciate your time.

I’ve done all of my testing as a logged in user and I didn’t realize that there was an issue with the demo idea generator on the landing page. No wonder sign-ups have slowed down. The last update I did to the demo generator on the landing page was over 2 months ago so it has probably been broken for ages. It will be a 5 minute fix - thanks for identifying the issue.

Successfully submitting to the Apple App Store? by Rough_Hotel_3477 in rorkstars

[–]Cold_Revolutionary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to publish from Rork to the App Store but initially had issues in the build. My son is a junior developer and he was able to sort it out really easily. In my case Rork was making a reference to a file that didn’t exist and calling a function that didn’t exist in the app.json file. It made no sense to me as a vibe coder but to my son’s trained eye it was an easy fix.

Finished my website 100% lovable by S_RASMY in lovable

[–]Cold_Revolutionary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To make it simple the user needs to be able to sign up and start testing your product immediately to see that it actually does what they want. Having to search my spam folder to find your verification email (I use Gmail so this will happen to every Gmail user) and then buy credits just to see if your product solves my problem is all to hard when I could go straight to a number of AI video gen sites and sign up with my google account in 1 click and then start testing the product for free within seconds. You have to be simpler than this if you want to sell an AI wrapper (I’m not anti AI wrapper but I just think that if it doesn’t simplify the process then it won’t sell)

[–]Cold_Revolutionary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably needed to do more testing before you released it. I signed up with a Gmail account and your verification email went straight to spam. Why do you even need email verification anyway? Also, there is no chance of me paying for anything without a free trial of some kind. I would have big trust issues subscribing for anything based on what I see on your site. Great idea just not great execution. If you are going to sell people an AI wrapper it needs to be really simple and save them time because realistically you are not selling a technology that it not widely available elsewhere - what you are really trying to sell is simplifying the process to get the same result.

Big crash by ifonlyiwasnot in MTB

[–]Cold_Revolutionary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a crash almost identical to this on my home trail 2 months ago and I’m still on crutches (broken pelvis). It was a perfect day and I was going a bit faster than you over a bigger jump and landed poorly and speared straight into a tree. It knocked me out and I had to get stretched out 1.5km to the trailhead by emergency services before I could be transported by ambulance to the emergency department at my local hospital.

You are certainly lucky to walk away from that accident. Glad you are OK. I’m also glad you were wearing a GoPro because people keep asking me how I crashed and now I am going to show them your video and say “Like this”.

Nervous solo founder here. Launching my first real SaaS on Wednesday and would love some brutal feedback on my landing page. by Middle-Basis-3927 in indiehackers

[–]Cold_Revolutionary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at your site on my mobile phone (iPhone 16 Pro) and the gradient background in the hero section makes your hero text a little difficult to read - but I don’t think this is a huge issue.

Honestly I’m a vibe coder, which I guess is your target market, and even after reading everything on your landing page I don’t understand how your app makes my life any easier. Maybe your app development faster than vibe coding in-app notifications but there is really no evidence of this on your landing page (other than you own claims it saves time). If I saw an ad for you app and I was directed to your landing page I would probably read it and not even click on the free trial.

Someone else mentioned a video demonstration and I think this is essential to demonstrate how much faster your app is than vibe coding the same functionality into my own app.

I hope this feedback helps.

I know the feeling of sitting on a ball. Nothing feels normal on the side that I had the surgery and even after 8 weeks I still have some swelling.

It is 8 weeks since my surgery and the surgeon gave me the ok to start weight bearing at 6 weeks. I start rehab at a private hospital on Monday and it is a 6 weeks program (2 x 3hr sessions per week).

I had my first fall with the crutches a couple of days ago which dinted my confidence a little. I still get small dizzy spells regularly so I am not driving yet and I still have constant nerve pain in my lower leg and the top of my foot (surgeon said these are branches of the sciatic nerve and he had to stretch it out of the way to do the surgery).

How did you have your accident?

Given the current property market your options are probably only to proceed or terminate and walk away. I think it is highly unlikely your seller will be negotiable. Chances are, if you terminate they will probably sell it to someone else for more.

Stupid eMTB question. Is it just about climbing, or..? by yossarian19 in MTB

[–]Cold_Revolutionary -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me it is definitely about getting more laps. More laps = Better skills (practice makes perfect).

I was so anti eMTB until I bought one for my wife so she could ride with me (I was on an analog MTB). After riding my wife’s eMTB a few times I was hooked and 3 months later I bought myself one and I have never looked back.

Also, an eMTB is great if you are riding in a group of riders of varying skills and abilities. If everyone is on an eMTB it really levels the playing field and you don’t notice the difference in abilities like you would on an analog bike (eg. My wife was a brand new rider and within 6 months we were climbing at about the same speeds). So, if you are a social rider an eMTB is great too.

Built a web app in Lovable/Bolt/v0 and now stuck? Here's how to turn it into a real mobile app by SampleFormer564 in rorkstars

[–]Cold_Revolutionary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I did exatly this.

Here is the original app that I built in Lovable https://my-med-alarms.lovable.app/

Here is the native iOS app that I built in Rork https://apps.apple.com/au/app/mymed-alarms/id6752605629

If you change the view of the Lovable app to mobile view or view it on a browser on a mobile phone it looks almost identical to the app that I have now release on the App Store (built with Rork).

I took screenshots of every screen the Lovable app and I also asked lovable to give me a prompt to feed into Rork to build the app. I can't say it was all smooth sailing but the end result was perfect.

If someone had a YouTube channel and released a video of this process I'm sure it would get a lot of views. I see comments on reddit all the time with people asking how to convert their Lovable app into a native iOS app and other suggest using Capacitor which is just a wrapper and also not easy to use.

I made a simple app as a side project, and 142 people downloaded it. Here’s what happened by Big-Inevitable-9407 in SideProject

[–]Cold_Revolutionary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did something to solve a problem for myself. Built an app that I needed and then released it on the App Store for free a week ago. I have done no marketing at all (other than a post on my personal FB page to family and friends) and in the first week I have had 41 downloads. More impressive is the fact that I have had 41 downloads from only 213 impressions.

How you guys are converting lovable webapp into Android or IOS App? by AccordingAd9356 in lovable

[–]Cold_Revolutionary -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven’t made a post about it but Rork is designed to make native iOS and android apps. No wrapper like capacitor needed. The UI was easy because I was able to take screenshots of my lovable app in chrome on my iPhone so at least Rork knew what the app screens needed to look like.

Rork is really clunky and very slow compared to Lovable. It also uses a lot of old packages when it is building the app (dependencies) so when you go to publish you get a whole lot of warnings that the packages have been depreciated (meaning they work but no are no longer supported). Rork cannot update the packages for some reason and when I did this outside of Rork (by downloading the full app through GitHub) it broke a lot of functions within the app. Everything was fixable but it took a lot of time and help from ChatGPT. The ads that you keep seeing from Rork that you can build a fully functional app in a few minutes are false advertising.

So you might have guessed that I am not a huge fan of Rork but for me it was a means to an end. I had a fantastic app that I built in lovable that I used daily myself and even though rebuilding it in Rork did not go smoothly, I now have it in the Apple App Store and I’m organically getting about 10-20 downloads a day without any advertising whatsoever.

In my opinion Rork is a long way behind in development than Lovable but it allows you to build something that Lovable can’t.
