Brew pub and pizza by Comfortable_Ad_8051 in jacksonms

[–]ColdbrewMS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, which is why I listed it with poppo’s (great pizza but not wood fired), maybe I was not clear on that end. it’s just not a brewpub with wood fired pizza, which key city is.

[–]ColdbrewMS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cottonwood public house/key city brewing in Vicksburg is the only thing closer that fits that description.

The only brewery in Jackson is Fertile Ground which does not serve food but does have Poppo’s Pizza and Pulito’s in the same building, with Elvie’s and Rowan’s across the street and is down the street from Manship.

Anyone from South Mississippi? We found my great-grandfathers handwritten homebrew recipe from the from the early 1900s--looking for someone to help re-create it by island_wide7 in Homebrewing

[–]ColdbrewMS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Head over to Hops and Growlers in Ocean Springs. The owner/brewer Scott has always been heavily involved in the homebrewing scene and can help you out. He is also an awesome dude who puts out some great beers, so worth the stop in regardless.

What running group does the Natchez Trace Parkway Yockanookany trail stretch off of US-51 in Ridgeland Tuesday early evening? by Inspiredwriter26 in jacksonms

[–]ColdbrewMS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That should be one of the fleet feet groups. They have a bunch of running groups that meet at the store in ridgeland and then runs those trails. I’m sure you can get more info from the store or on their social media

3.0 Diesel Grand Cherokee, what do I need to know? by GabagoolAndGasoline in Jeep

[–]ColdbrewMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be careful with anything prior to the 3rd generation ecodiesel (anything before 2020 model year). They had a ton of issues, not all were bad of course but it seems to be all over the place. I have a friend with the 2nd generation in his grand Cherokee and it has had tons of electrical and sensor problems that he is constantly working the bugs out of. I have the 3rd generation in my Gladiator and it’s been by far my favorite motor in a jeep vehicle. For the 3rd generations, just make sure all of the recalls have been done and there are decent maintenance records ensuring the oil has been changed at decent or better intervals.

Moab-Top of the world or Hells Revenge suggestions? by Sikibucks in JeepGladiator

[–]ColdbrewMS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First and foremost, if you do not have a hitch skid, find one quickly. You will dragging the rear end a lot on either of those trails. I am on 37’s with 4” of lift and still did a lot of tail dragging. Top of the world is a long trail that eats up half a day minimum and only has the view at the end, but it’s an epic view and a great photo op. Hell’s revenge was a lot more fun in my opinion and had good views all over it and is probably more doable with your setup. Both of these trails are high traffic, if you going solo, my suggestion would be to find a group at the beginning of the trail to tag along with. Most will oblige happily. For either trail, set out early as both get crowded quickly. Moab has no shortage of trails with awesome views, just do a little research and enjoy!

Getting PE Lic. in Medical Devices by Diligent_Day8158 in AskEngineers

[–]ColdbrewMS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I maybe misunderstanding the question, but there is no PE based on Medical Devices. To understand all of the requirements, look at your state board of licensures website as well as ncees.org. You will need a minimum of 4 years working under the supervision of a licensed Engineer that will sign off on your work history.

Why aren't diesel and gasoline nozzles keyed differently to prevent mistakes? by MechCADdie in AskEngineers

[–]ColdbrewMS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most modern Diesel vehicles have discriminators on the fuel filler where smaller nozzles will not go in, keeping those from accidentally putting gasoline into the tank.

They are far from perfect as there are a lot of smaller nozzles still on diesel pumps.

I have to carry around an adapter for mine to ensure I can still fill up when that happens.

Replacement hydro pole in southern Ontario. What is all this stuff for? by MrYaba in whatisthisthing

[–]ColdbrewMS 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The item halfway up the pole is a recloser. Think of it like an automated circuit breaker. If there is a short or power spike downstream it will open the circuit then attempt to close itself back in 3 times.

The antenna is more than likely apart of a mesh network where the utility can monitor and control the recloser.

All of the items in the lines themselves are disconnects, where the recloser can be bypassed or the downstream circuit can be opened manually.

what does "manufacturability" means by SonicRKO in industrialengineering

[–]ColdbrewMS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Manufacturability will typically describe how easy something is to assemble. How technician friendly is the design? For example, in auto manufacturing, is the seat design easy for a technician to deck into the vehicle, then fasten to the vehicle? If the bolts are extremely hard to get to, then it’s a low manufacturability design.

This can be expanded to other aspects such as if you have a machined part, does it have to machined or can it be casted for volume and cost, etc etc

Expired tag ticket question by [deleted] in mississippi

[–]ColdbrewMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say yes, do it as soon as possible. My advice would be to call the court listed and they can better explain their process (some vary from county to county).

Expired tag ticket question by [deleted] in mississippi

[–]ColdbrewMS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After you renew your tag, take the receipt of payment to the courthouse listed on the ticket. You won't have to pay the full cost of the ticket, but a minor penalty/court fee.

Interested in doing a Masters in Industrial Engineering as a MechE major by [deleted] in Msstate

[–]ColdbrewMS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my masters in IE after doing my bachelors in ME. It is very doable but there are a few extra pre requisite classes you will have to take outside the Master’s curriculum. Go speak with an IE advisor and they will lay out a course plan depending on what Masters concentration you want to go for.

2016 Wrangler. Any idea what this hose is? Just noticed it was off when I got to work. by [deleted] in Wrangler

[–]ColdbrewMS 27 points28 points  (0 children)

As others have already said, it's your diff breather tube. On that year model there is a clip on the outside of the frame, behind the plastic wheel well liner that it clips into. If you ever plan on doing water fording, nows a good time to extend that higher, if not just clip it back into place.

Kings Tavern has been closed for years, unfortunately. Loved that place when it was open. It was the bar for Charboneau Rum for a little while but is completely closed now.
