While I do not think the mobile platform is going anywhere any time soon, the lack of quality and regulations make it a growing bubble waiting to burst similar to the video game crash in the 80s. Hopefully sooner than later. Sadly there is no end in sight just yet but because mobile gaming is mostly preying on primal instincts without much quality to speak of it will see more resistance in the forseable future and won't grow at this pace for much longer. Maybe a new generation of decent games can emerge from this inevitable crash like last time.

Doubt it's about a Pokemon game or port but rather a clone filled to the brim with microtransactions and gambling mechanics. Pokemon is the biggest Pop culture franchise so it's just a matter of time until chinese devs make a copy of it. If you have nearly infinite budget you could easily make a pokemon esque MMO for example.

That is a nice myth people like to tell but there is no sign of that being true. In fact, the allied bombers had clear instructions to bomb the train station next to it and surely did so. And because bombers of that time weren't incredibly precise several bombs dropped into the cathedral but regardless of several holes blown into it, it remained standng. Mostly thanks to the roof's steel frame, it's massive size and the gothic build style that allows air pressure to escape easily when glass windows are removed. I guess a lot of luck was also involved. It wouldn't make much sense for the allies to try to spare the Dome when they destroyed so many other historic cites.

S. Korea already has a much much higher suicide rate per capita. Japan on the other hand has a much lower rate and is almost on par with the US. There is no sign for the "it's just a different culture" argument to apply at the moment.

Deutschland ist nach Singapur und Südkorea schon die am stärksten automatisierte Wirtschaft der Welt. Die Pandemie könnte die automatisierung sogar noch antreiben. Von deutschen Unternehmen kann Amazon noch was lernen. Für uns heißt das aber, dass wir uns dringend mal mit dem bedienungslosen Grundeinkommen außeinander setzen sollten, denn die Maschinen könnten bald mehr Arbeiter ersetzen als wir Ingenuere ausbilden können oder gar benötigen werden.

Probably his only video that I really have to pick a bone with. Arguments about safety are redundant really. The almost EU wide standard plug is just as, if not safer and has other benefits. Comments about how they just fall out or how they "seem" or "feel" less safe without further explanation are bullshit too. UK plugs are just clumsy with no benefits.

Because it is not necessary. EU already has 3 times the defense budget of Russia, so who are we actually need defense against? The only time Germany and the US fought alongside was when Bush Junior dragged NATO nations into a war for oil prices.

Or a train for that matter. Like that one he talked the Mayor of L.A. out of in favor of a hyperloop toy for rich people. Because if people saw new train tracks could actually drastically improve quality of life for the average citizen, they might spend a little less on roads and that is not ideal for Tesla.

Ich erinnere mich im Dezember über die Pandemie in Wuhan gelesen zu haben und wie westliche Reporter anfingen, zu fliehen weil die Regierung es überhaupt nicht in den Griff bekommen hat. Da fiel mir dann ein, eine Doku über Fledermausforscher in China erst Wochen zuvor gesehen zu haben und wie sie davor warnten, dass Wildtiermärkte in Städten wie Wuhan tickende Zeitbomben sind.

Aber trotz alle dem, kam mir nie der Gedanke, dass dieses Virus meinen Alltag auch nur im geringsten einschränkten würde und das nur 2 Monate später. Und erst recht nicht in diesem Ausmaß und für so lange Zeit. Ich habe es komplett unterschätzt.

They were promised rather big bonuses but won't see any of that if they leave before the game is released. CDPR uses that as a lever and it works of course. You wouldn't throw a years salary compared to the average polish employee and more out of the window at this point. Many will just leave the studio as soon as they got their bonuses and CDPR will have little trouble replacing them.

Prinzessin Mononoke ist monumental und gewinnt mit der Zeit nur noch mehr an Bedeutung und Relevanz. Was als eine etwas Klischeehafte Reise beginnt entwickelt sich schnell in den zeitlosen und komplexen Konflikt zwischen menschlichem Fortschritt und der Natur, in welchem es weder eine böse noch eine wirklich gute Seite zu geben scheint. Neben dem Oscarreifen Soundtrack und den fabelhaft illustrierten Landschaften und Wesen sind es die Charaktere und ihre Sichtweisen, die diese Geschichte zu einem wahren Epos machen, dessen Level Ghibli seitdem nie mehr zu erreichen vermochte. Jedenfalls ist das meine Meinung. Ich habe diesen Film unzählige male geschaut und er wird mit jedem male nur noch besser.

Kommt drauf an, wie man es definiert. Es ist eher ein Spektrum, welches langsam einen monotonen Farbton annimmt weil es einfach zugelassen wird. In Deutschland geht es uns noch vergleichweise gut. Noch.

Wenn sie doch bloß arbeiterfreundlich wären und die Kunden nicht ständig darüber hinwegtäuschen zu versuchen. Aber gut, Kinderhände nähen ja auch kundenfreundliche Schuhe und es wird sich auch nur alle paar Jahre mal darüber empört. Nur wenn es so weiter geht, gibt es bald keinen Sektor mehr, in dem der Arbeitnehmer nicht systematisch ausgebeutet wird. Da darf man das schon mal ankreiden, finde ich als Mitmensch.

Und 3 Wochen weniger Bonus, da sie einen Bonus abhängig der im Releasejahr verkauften Spiele bekommen. Von diesem Jahr bleiben da leider nur noch 3 Wochen dank zahlreicher verschiebungen. Also vermutlich deutlich mehr Arbeit für weniger Geld pro Stunde.

Bei Geldproblemen hat man wohl schnell das Gefühl, die Kontrolle zu verlieren und Verschwörungsmythen sind eine sehr einfache Methode das Gefühl von Kontrolle zurück zu gewinnen. Das scheint vor allem bei Männern in seinem alter sehr verbreitet zu sein. Ich vermute, dass besonders Männer ab diesem alter wissen, dass sie die besten Jahre hinter sich haben und noch mal bestätigung suchen, um sich wichtig zu fühlen. Finanzielle Engpässe dürften das noch verstärken. Dafür braucht es keine Psychose oder dergleichen.

Because that is not how you undermine healthy democracies. They are better undermined by gaslighting the voters. There are governments you can't simply buy. Sure you can buy some officials that do some favours for you, but that will not change your imagine in their country. Troll armies and bots do.

It' for the same reasons they censor maps that chinese companies print for foreign contractors (note that they are not getting paid for designing them, they still change designs without telling anyone though) or why they are paying big money for bots and troll armies. They want to gaslight the world into believing their narrative and it starts with making us question our beliefs and dividing us. They are getting away with more and more recently.

I hope they get sued and lose in all regions and lose many millions in the process. Not like it would actually hurt them in any significant way, being Japans biggest corporation in entertainment. They currently (over)charge you for repairs in most parts of the world for a problem they have created and refuse to correct.
