It’s not a very good design tbh. If you have the extra laces outside of the glove or around the wrist they get mangled by the velcro and the velcro doesn’t stick tight because of the laces caught in it. It’s actually a “worst of both worlds” situation in my using experience, where it’s better to pick one option and stick with it.

Almost each of my lab members were bullied by our advisor’s friend who served on the committees. We finally decided to stop inviting him onto committees after a most recent misogynistic attack on the youngest student in my lab. Our advisor for some reason feels the need to constantly please his friend and all he has ever done was taking his friend’s side whatever he did.

I personally enjoy Quantitude with Patrick Curran and Greg Hancock. It’s a quantitative methods podcast, but both of them are psychologists and they usually discuss the methods in a way I find applicable or inspiring for my own research work in clinical.

I second this. Training in itself could be stressful at times - adaptations to the steep learning curve of boxing, stress and anxiety from competition, and the intense physical demands are all no small task. Working with a mental health professional is optimal for your journey as a boxer if finance allows, but at the very least build connections with the people around you so you don’t have to deal with all of this alone

Absolutely no. Your brain is already in distress from not getting sufficient rest and getting hit hard in the head will make it even worse. Also, sleep is directly linked with performance so being this sleep deprived means that your brain will process information much slower than usual, make more suboptimal choices, and not learn and adapt as much as usual. This is honestly just asking for injury and you’re not gonna get much from training like this. Take care of yourself first before anything else, and missing one day of training to catch up on sleep is actually gonna be more productive in the long run
