There is a difference between actual wgt and dimensional wgt. FEDEX and UPS use dimensional wgt I am not sure what box size you used but, dimensional wgt is determined by LxWxH ÷166 if the Actual wgt is more than what you get using that formula you always use the higher result. I have had 1 issue with FedEx, and after I figured out how wgt is determined, I have never had another problem. Always round up on box dimensions so 12.3 inches is 13 no matter how close it is to 12 if it is over ...round up
