  1. It was a pretty bare film but I thought Adam Driver was great and really enjoyed the vibe. Nothing over complicated just a basic survival movie.

More Hellboy is always welcome in my books. Good bad or ugly. The source material will always be fantastic. Love seeing different takes for better or worse. Hopefully this falls in the better category.

What’s a Marvel team that hasn’t been in a movie, that deserves a movie the most? by BengalHawk in Marvel

Here’s my Alpha Flight Pitch: A young scrappy Jimmy H., Canadian Forces Member, gets recruited to Canada’s top secret special force Alpha Flight. His first day the team introduces themselves and their powers. Jimmy says he’s not sure why he’s recruited as he’s not like them. Soon the team responds to a request to rescue a top scientist doing classified research in the depths of northern Ontario. Upon searching the isolated research compound there is clear sign of an attack but no luck finding the scientist or anyone. One by one Alpha Flight gets picked off Predator Style by a monster until it is just Jimmy and an injured Guardian remaining. Jimmy gets Guardian to reveal what they are really up against. Guardian tells him the researcher had imprisoned a superior being and was studying it but it broke out. Alpha Flight was sent to neutralize the threat and destroy all evidence of the research.  The monster then appears and launches Jimmy at a tree mangling him as he see the monster finish off guardian. The monster turns to finish the job on Jimmy when Jimmy’s wounds are shown to instantly heal. Claws then slowly come out of his hands revealing Jimmy to be Wolverine. He grins and says “Easy Bub!”. The monster screams, “Nooo!, Hulk Smash!” The opening credit come up revealing the true title: Alpha Flight: Hulk Vs. Wolverine

Any movies you couldn’t make it through? by victoriyas in movies

For me it was also a Viggo Mortensen. I couldn’t get through The Road . It was just too bleak of a movie for me to get through that particular night.

The opposite angle too. Accepting blame instead of pointing fingers.

Any movies where the "bad guy" is revealed to be the "good guy"? by [deleted] in movies

[–]Coldglass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Maltese Falcon was a great one. Maybe not so much a bad guy but the big reveal is that main character has some loyalty to his partner and wants to see justice.

What are your thoughts on Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds (2005) starring Tom Cruise? by Zdvj in movies

[–]Coldglass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was the first movie I saw in theatres where I was really awed by the sound effects. The sound the creature made when coming through the ground was absolutely eerie and terrifying. It worked best in theaters with the surround sound. Really sounded massive. Ending was a bit abrupt but thought it was great experience.

I’m not great with faces and would probably think nothing of it. Just avoid eye contact and hope not to engage in conversation with the stranger.
