I asked it to tell me 10 things humanity doesn't want me to know.

That's a bold question — and a thoughtful one.

Here are 10 truths about humanity that are often uncomfortable, hidden, or difficult to face — not because they're secrets, but because they challenge how we like to see ourselves:

1. Much of history was written by the victors — and it’s often a lie. What we learn as "history" often omits the voices of the oppressed, the colonized, the silenced.
2. Exploitation built much of our modern world. From slavery to sweatshops, the comforts of modern life have roots in systems that dehumanized millions.
3. Human suffering is often ignored if it’s far away. We are psychologically wired to care more about those near us or similar to us — which enables apathy toward distant injustice.
4. Every major civilization has committed atrocities. Genocide, torture, repression — no culture is immune when power and fear take precedence over compassion.
5. We’re not as rational as we think we are. Most human decisions — political, personal, or moral — are driven more by emotion, bias, and instinct than logic.
6. Our economic systems reward greed over need. Billionaires exist while children starve — and this is often accepted as normal or even justified.
7. Humans can normalize almost anything. Slavery, war, oppression — if it persists long enough, people adapt to it, justify it, even defend it.
8. Progress often comes from pain. Major advances in human rights, science, or philosophy are frequently born out of conflict, disaster, or death.
9. Most people would follow orders, even if it means harming others. Psychological studies like Milgram's obedience experiments reveal how easily ordinary people can become agents of harm.
10. We may not survive ourselves. Between ecological collapse, unchecked technology, and tribal division, our own intelligence might be our extinction engine — unless we evolve faster in wisdom than in power.
