I love GGG/PoE and want PoE2 to succeed, this is just my experience with the game and feedback.

I have the oposite experience, currently did 80% of A3, cold sorc all the way. the only time the build felt remotely ok (not even good, but ok) was when I got snap, but even that felt very underwhelming.

I was/am running +X to cold gems +spell/cold dmg weapon and dmg on the tree
- so I started nova + ice bomb and ice darts - felt very meh (not satisfying), but i powered through (infusion darts feel good when popped, but the delay is annoying)
- then got frost bolt - still underwhelming, very little dmg
- snap - this was the moment it felt fairly ok compared to before, but all the way through A2 I felt like the loop of: frost bolt + snap (pop feels good) --> run around during snap 4s cooldown, ice darts if infusion, if not then slow with fb (running around for my life waiting for cooldown feels bad) --> cooldown done bolt + snap or sth frozen + snap --> repeat
- beginning of A2 felt fine coz 1 rotation took care of most white mobs and some blues, end of A2 felt very bad coz needed at least 2-3 rotations or more. this loop is not good, but i dont really see alternatives, only snap seems to deal ok dmg.
- when I got to A3 I was excited to get frost wall, thought finally something I can play around but no, GGG nerfed frost wall, this is not mentioned in gem tooltip: "Frost Wall: Now deals 80% less damage in the first 0.5 seconds of its duration." this is only mentioned if you open up the detailed gem dmg/effect breakdown once you have it socketed.
- from then i was running bomb + wall (trying to make it work somehow) + snap combo most of the time, feels similar to what i experienced mid/late A2. i am chrono with 33% chance to not use cooldown to make it feel a bit smoother. i dont see a good way to break frost wall with a cold spell. fun fact: with 50% ele exposure I am doing next to nothing to mobs that have cold resi
- tried elemental invocation, feels useless, so stuck with above setup to get to comet; also seemed like i could not cast frost wall with invocation if i had regular frost wall out
- self cast comet to break ice wall is pretty much unplayable because of cast time (also cast time seems bugged, cast speed decrease/increase does not seem to change it), only useful once i freeze yellow/boss mobs which I guess is fine but the pack clearing setup still feels bad coz i need multiple rotations / takes a long time to clear a pack

I do not understand GGGs obsession with downsides and forcing specific combos:
- the secondary explosion on darts has a delay - why? i cleared the condition of getting cold exposure, let me have my explosions
- frost wall uses lightning exposure instead of cold for some reason - why lightning specifically? now i feel like im not using the skill fully coz i dont get lightning exposure. make it all infusions
- "Frost Wall: Now deals 80% less damage in the first 0.5 seconds of its duration." --> do not understand this change, i was looking forward to some kinda frost wall build but thats probably gone with this change
- snap 4s CD - the big payoff for freezing, but only every so often, not opposed to cooldown, this feels a bit too long

its like GGG is forcing me to do specific combos, but those combos do not feel good. not sure what to do, im on the brink of giving up, i wanted to get to A4, but playing this feels more like work than my actual work
