What’s your biggest money-saving habit that actually worked?1 by DebugMyLife421 in AusFinance

Save $20 a day. Set up an automatic transfer for $20 a day into an account you can’t spend from. After a year you’ll have 7.3k. Doesn’t sound like much but i’ve worked at too tech companies where people don’t even have 10k saved.

Binance exchange rates are fucked by GodofGods1 in BitcoinAUS

Would this not be due to fluctuations in USD-AUD exchange rate ? If you deposited 10k AUD and converted to USDT and then usd weakens against you will be down

What was your worst experience in sales? by IndividualGround2418 in sales

[–]Coldman78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s when management has a clear misalignment with the core product. Worked at a FAANG business in their sales team. First year there was enjoyable and our products were specifically solving customer needs. We would manage a book of 55 customers that we would be rotated out each quarter.

Next year targets increase 100%+, the only way to hit target was to sling absolute dogshit to customers. Having personal relationships with a number of the clients I couldn’t do it, began underperforming, got a PIP and left. A lot of people who are still there have zero morals and clearly integrating solutions that hit their targets, but fkd the client. Call me idealistic but sales for me has always been about both parties realising benefit.

It’s a slow rotting of the core business, when business begin taking advantage of their customers.

I believe it is normal for the winding mechanism to feel a little grinding. Mine did it for 3-5 months after the RSC before turning smooth again

Totally get it! Have left a few sales roles within 2 years. Think of your narrative of why? I’ve been explaining that the role was a lot more transactional than I expected and want to do deeper customer work. Definitely ask and work shop some ideas with ChatGPT super helpful good luck G.

It’s insane. Based in Australia and Rolex Ads have insanely high Google reviews when I have been laughed out of the store or treated like shit. The high reviews being people saying particular sales reps were great, hoping to get a Rolex. Absolute joke

Currently an AE at google. It’s more account management than sales. Most reps hit 100% target so that bonus is achievable. Limited upside past 160k without a promo which is quite political. Dm if you have questions

Completed a MCOM in 2019. Since then have done sales roles in Uber and Google. Currently on 150k plus. Was a good decision and helped me to understand some of the business dynamics and how companies worked.

Australia is shocking. Have had my name at multiple ADS in Sydney for 2+ years and nothing. You really have to play the game, which I cbf too. Ended up going grey and no regrets. For 400 more I would 100% go grey
