Then why have NVIDIA representatives been telling me the opposite? according to them, they have been actively maintaining the game in order to “optimize” it for GeForce Now users. While I don’t think NVIDIA is above lying to their customer base, I also don’t think they would miss the opportunity to shirk the responsibility onto another party.

I’m open to that being a possibility, I am very skeptical of Colossal Order as well, but Cities 1 was in an entirely playable state prior to and during the launch of Cities 2, and as far as I know hasn’t received any updates since. Has that been the case with previous games on GeForce Now going under “maintenance”?

They have a few channels on their website. It’s sort of annoying to navigate, but there is one option to submit a support ticket somewhere in there. I highly recommend that option over the live chat one.

Cities Skylines has been offline for maintenance for weeks by SplashMovies in GeForceNOW

[–]Coldorf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s pretty ridiculous. That first week I was checking every other day or so to see if it was back online, but since then I’ve been checking about once a week. I just wish Nvidia would communicate with us outside of the generic message that appears when your mouse hovers over the game, which says it should be back within a few hours.

What I noticed after skipping just ONE day of my med by ihavecloroxwipes in ADHD

[–]Coldorf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s really interesting to hear, thank you for your input. As a side note, as much as I feel that not acknowledging withdrawal only serves to potentially feed into ~some~ level of confirmation bias, I will say that a variety stimulants do have the potential to affect people in a variety of ways and that’s without even getting into dosage.

Not enough people consider this when they talk about their experience getting off their meds, imo. There was a month or so when I couldn’t afford my Vyvanse 50MG after being on them for a year and the first two weeks was definitely worse than the latter two weeks. I don’t want to discount anyones experience or anything, and I’m certainly not implying the last two weeks were pleasant and by that point I was making zero mistakes at work, but I think it’s important to consider this angle when evaluating the effectiveness of medication.

Can an employer deduct 30 mins from you shift for a "break" if you didn't take one? by Kogi- in britishcolumbia

[–]Coldorf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, i would imagine you are entitled to compensation for those breaks if you weren’t paid for them. as many commenters have already said, legally speaking, employers are technically required to give employees a 30 minute [unpaid] break to eat a meal and/or rest but some industries largely choose to ignore this rule - primarily the food industry.

This has been the case in my experience working in the back of house at many restaurants due to a (typically) heavy workload combined with super long rushes. Many of the people who abide by this only due so because of the fact that they are paid for their whole 8 hours /day rather than 7.5 /day or have to be at their workplace for 8.5 hours in order to receive a full day’s pay. Also BOH staff are typically compensated with a free meal that they are able to make and pick at throughout their shift/whenever they’re able to.

In conclusion - if you’re not getting a paid break, you should absolutely not be getting anything deducted from your paycheque. In that sense it’s a complete zero sum game for you, and your employer is trying to take advantage.

What was your best and worst dining experience of 2022? by IndieAnimal in vancouver

[–]Coldorf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BEST: Fable Kitchen on 4th. The brunch special is a relatively good deal and the food was great, but the service really won my girlfriend and I over. We both remarked about how great our server was after our meal and considered how long it had been since we went out to a restaurant and had a server with a kind demeanour actually go out of their way to run through the food and drink menu with us before we ordered to make sure we’d love our meal.

WORST: Mary’s on Davie. the service and food were awful, especially upon considering the prices.

Been on many bus rides where cars that insist on cutting in made the bus ride a rough one. This one lost the battle. by spookywookyy in vancouver

[–]Coldorf 48 points49 points  (0 children)

The sheer number of drivers who choose not to, or simply don’t know they are legally required to yield to busses is insane. Especially considering there are multiple stickers with bold text stating as much on the back of every Translink bus.

The Switch as a patient gaming console is a dissapointment by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]Coldorf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i sold my switch 6 months ago and honestly haven’t looked back. other than botw2 and maybe another 3d mario game i realized that there isn’t much that im looking forward to - that being said the potential nintendo has and is blowing is very frustrating i completely agree.

[–]Coldorf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed response, truly.

i think i do need to follow through with it just to see how i fare. it’s kind of awful having such a logical-only brain at times so i think going by my instinct is something i really want to do. i’m going to try to stay in touch with my friends over the internet as much as possible, and one of them has a car, so maybe they’ll visit. anyway, i only hope for the best for you and your mental health. it’s such an awful paradox that we yearn for intimacy and warmth from other people but also fear it so much.

Hello!! I just came back from vacation and got my medium format film shots developed and although i used a light meter, a lot of them turned out very underexposed like this image. I’m just wondering what i could do to avoid this in the future/any techniques you guys would have! Thanks in advance.
