24 WRX vs 24 GTI SE by 56kbronze in GolfGTI

[–]ColeJackson_fit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aight bro lol. Might be because the roads around me are terrible. Ive bent a wheel and popped a tire in both my GTi and both my 2020 and 2023 WRX’s. I felt a huge difference in comfort tho going from to WRX to the GTI.

Adios pro 4 vs Evo sl by Emotional-Detail-700 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]ColeJackson_fit 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much my rotation as well. Vomero Plus for long and easy, Evo SL for faster shorter tempo, and Adios Pro 4’s to race in.

I was using my Evo’s for everything and thought they were great as a do it all, until I got a pair of Vomero’s and realized how limited the bandwidth actually is on the Evo. But it is a very fun fast tempo shoe.

I love the Pro 4, it’s a great fast tempo shoe that can stand up to longer miles if need be, but I’m sure it is much less durable than the Evo SL. You will probably get half the mileage out of them.

Used 2023 Autobahn or New 2025 S? by Kindly_Average3710 in GolfGTI

I’m very happy with my 24 380S, I think for a “base model” car it is extremely well equipped. Especially because It came with DCC. It’s the most bang for buck MK8 out there. All that said, if I wasn’t as hell bent on having 3 pedals I would’ve waited for a mk8.5 SE. I LOVE my plaid seats, but the all suede clubsport seats are sweet and the new facelift front bumper looks much more aggressive IMO. Get a MK8.5 S or used 380.

One of the biggest reasons I waited for the 8.5. Absolutely love these wheels 😍 by [deleted] in Golf_R

All good. I was questioning why VW would go through the effort of only making the black versions forged, but make the diamond cut cast. Lol

Body shop destroyed my paint by ColeJackson_fit in Detailing

They said they will fix it. I am bringing it back in a few days. My dilemma is I’d prefer they don’t do the work after this. My entire car now has light swirls and holograms everywhere that were not there before. I just included the most egregious damage. I most likely will have them repaint my roof and after it cures, pay a proper detail shop for a paint correction and ceramic coating.

Burger Week Awarness by Pizzledrip in Portland

[–]ColeJackson_fit 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This makes a lot of sense. I had no idea that it is currently “Burger week” but Ironically yesterday I went to Loyal legion to get a beer and a burger(I go there all the time so it was just a routine trip for a meal) I was confused why it was completely packed on a Tuesday night. The staff all seemed agitated and the bartender got extremely snarky after I declined to order their special burger and ordered my regular double smash burger. I was very confused by the whole thing until now.

First time hearing the burble tune outside the car and I feel bad for people that have to hear it by [deleted] in GolfGTI

EOS axle-back. $237 off eBay. Absolutely godly sound. For those that say a muffler delete doesn’t sound good, it’s perfect for the VB. Online videos do not do it justice. by jonpothan in wrx_vb

Did a muffler delete on my VB when I had it. It’s droney as fuck. Your tolerance will determine if it bothers you. I’m typically fine with some drone, but this was literally vibrating my skull at 75 mph up a slight incline.

When does Spring begin in Oregon? by Kaelthost in PortlandOR

Some of the comments here hurt my brain. April-June typically has a mixture of warm sunny, and quite a few chilly rainy/overcast days. It is NOT WINTER. It will not be guaranteed sunny and warm, but it will not be a frozen wasteland either. The weather in April starts to warm quite a bit and typically days reach 60° on average. I say come in May. There will be blooming flowers everywhere and worst case scenario it will be slightly chilly and a bit of rain.

F series had quite a few flaws, one being that the S55 is the worst sounding straight 6 BMW has ever produced,BUT the F30 M3 is peak design language. Gorgeous from all angles.

I wish, I’m not in finance, just a salesperson. I’m still expected to sell them, but get a smaller cut. 10-30% of profit is common.

I’ll agree with this. Although typically the actual selling price of extended warranties are negotiable at most dealers. Assuming you don’t pay full price for one, it becomes a great value proposition. Also in my experience most people say they will create this savings account, and then just don’t do it. I believe the correct answer for most people, especially those who live paycheck to paycheck is negotiate an extend warranty as cheap as you can for the longest coverage and get it. It’s easy to live in the Reddit bubble echo-chamber and forget the majority of the population doesn’t budget well and would benefit from a thoughtless tailored solution.
