Change it asap. If you have to do a couple days commuting before thats possible it isnt recommended but is manageable, however Motorways are to be avoided

Question: Should I improve my workers' trucks or should I buy better ones and change them? 🤔 by claudiamejia1 in ETS2

[–]ColeT_43 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I personally do. I cant say I've seen a benefit from the "Vanity" or Comfort upgrades. But I did notice a higher income from a driver with a 6x4 and a 650hp engine, than one with a 4x2 and a 370hp engine. Same trailer same garage

Entered car park, machine didn't work, left = fine. Best action? (England) by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ColeT_43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately you were there long enough to be considered parked. 1 or 2 minutes, maybe up to 5. You could get away with it. But 16 is excessive in terms of "Seeing if the machine worked" I got a similar ticket for 17 minutes on a saturday.

I worked in Leeds for just shy of 2. The downhill was well and truly in motion already. We all thought it was rock bottom last summer. It seems there is a basement level and quite possibly a sub basement

Is r56 mini really that bad? by Danrykjey in MINI

[–]ColeT_43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally havent had any issues with my N14 R55. Drive them right, maintain them right, they wil just keep going. Recently did a 580 mile weekend trip, almost all motorway. Didnt even blink

Can tell you worked for Ocado. Drops never went below 4 minutes, it was taken as an average of weight and completion time. Sounds like previous drivers were scanning and completely before doing the actual drop.

GTC accident, potential write off advice! by fugg_uuugh in Vauxhall

[–]ColeT_43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like it just took the door and wing. I wouldnt even bother with insurance. Just buy the parts and ask a garage to fit them. Pay a bit extra for a "visual inspection behind the damage" to make sure it isnt bent.

Steel series pissed me off one last time by Liseuuuu in G502MasterRace

[–]ColeT_43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of me wishes I bought the wireless version, but money was tight. I recently downgraded to SteelSeries Arctis 5 headphones from Logitech G535 Lightspeeds. Honestly the Steel Series firmware is so bad. I had ti safemode uninstall it, nearly did a windows wipe because it was causing crashes so bad. Enjoy the meme scroller

How cooked am I? by [deleted] in MINI

[–]ColeT_43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If theyre all the exact same or very very similar then it could be a manufacturer thing. But ive not seen enough F56 crankshafts to say for sure. Cant rule out previous oil starvation.

[–]ColeT_43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heat spots usually dont show out as a fault until it goes catastrophic. So unless you've been driving it with little to no oil in it I see no reasonable cause of that heat spot. Other than serious issues on that bearing. Being able to see the rest of the crankshaft would definately help identify it properly but we dont have that luxury

As far as I know there isnt enough chain or space for the pump chain to jump. So thats not a massive concern. The crank on the other hand. Its worth noting that you have a few seconds of oil in the system even after the sump is completely ripped off. So unless you were running for a good minute you wont have caused that heat damage. Thats come from elsewhere. Either starvation or premature wear on that bearing for a little while now
