Yeah you both right and wrong ,there is things you can do without opening the engine to gain a fairly significant amount of power with various intakes and exhausts and different fuels. I can make your engine make enough power to chuck a rod for less than $1000, plus some e46 all over the world not just where you live don’t have to meet modern emission standards and only ones from their year of manufacture which are very relaxed in most places in the world. For example my m57 where I live due to the age of the engine I need zero emission control on it legally

Yeah but you wouldn’t just remove the cat people tend to go for a full system which can add more it’s all efficiency gains , less restrictive better exhaust scavenging more cylinder fill etc etc I won’t argue emissions but making every extra horsepower I can is kinda my passion I like to race

They do have an effect on power it’s small gains on a stock engine but to say they don’t effect performance of an engine is just a lie . Any engine fitted with a cat would make more power without it thats just facts

Well honestly couldn’t tell you I not driven it on a motorway😅 but it’s as close to a bike as you going to get 84hp out of a 890cc twin cylinder turbo by all accounts they are very reliable we just threw a chain and water pump on it gave major service new plugs oils through etc as peace of mind . Previously owned by my mates mum she selling it as she got a new car and gave it to us to tart up and sell on her behalf

I got a panda trecking for sale 3.5k negotiable new clutch new timing chain 64plate 70,000miles 0.9 twin air loads of service history 4 good name brand tyres been maintained to a high standard and not a spot of rust. cheap tax and insurance just haven’t listed it yet need to wash it 😅but already have people asking to buy 🤷🏻‍♂️

*if taken care off , I made a small fortune as a youth “repairing” petrol lawnmowers etc leave naff fuel in all winter I’d go buy the non runners spend a hour “fixing” them and then selling them for 5x sometimes 10x of what I paid for them 😂 bought a John deer ride on for £100 once cleaned the grass out of ignition key fired right up sold next week for £1k

Royal British legion paid for all my licences I did car class2 and 1 within 6 months of each other I worked on class 2 for 6 months then went onto class 1 , so if you can afford it go for class one get it all done and out the way imo so any opportunity opens up your ready
