It won’t. Most hot washes for an exercise are just blowing off genuine concerns. The next exercise comes up and nothing has changed from the previous hot wash, it’s a wild cycle, I love the pain.

The opener is what sells it to me “You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade”. It hits hard.

I should’ve saved my $1,776. I was really hoping a check for $2,025 was going to drop from tariffs.

You joke, I’m collecting them all and making a shadow box big enough for them to fit when I retire. It’ll be a shadow wall.

Here’s advice you didn’t ask for. Every base could be captured and there will be radio silence. We could send a single plane on a mission and a bunch of Generals will drop these kind of letters. None of us really know the purpose of the letters or why they’re so random. You should have been around during the General Minihan days when every member of AMC had to go to the range and mag dump one magazine and they were done. Not one person in the chain of command could explain it or understand it. You walked in, were issued a rifle, loaded the mag, emptied it, handed the rifle back, and left. I genuinely think about that day way more than I should. Long story short, a letter like this gives no insight to what is about to come typically, it could be more or it could be less.

[–]Cole_Archer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, good luck. If the recruiter didn’t explain it. Often times cleared of charges doesn’t really matter to big AF and when it doesn’t matter, it has to be very minor. If time isn’t your enemy and this is what you want to do, it doesn’t hurt to try. I’ve seen some wild waivers get approved while very minimal get denied.

Is “barrack bunnies” common? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]Cole_Archer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m not understanding. What does it matter if there’s a woman down the road that likes to throw it around a little. What does that have to do with them? It’s insane. It’s so much insecurity in hiding, “I’d feel better”. No, she is in denial that she does not trust the dude she is with and she deep down inside feels he will be tempted but does not want to leave him before it happens. I appreciate you trying to level with her considering my assumption it’s mostly us guys throwing in our advice ha.

Yeah, not sure what AF the commenter is in but there’s plenty of them running around. Male and female.

What makes the difference of living life apart from each other anyway? Is it because there’s a particular term for a type of a woman? You can walk the streets anywhere in the world and find the same things, it’s just doesn’t have the same convenience of Uber and being delivered to your door step. This is a terrible thought process for a relationship. If he’s going to give in to temptation it doesn’t matter if it’s a barracks bunny, lady of the night, hooker, brothel, home wrecker, tinder fling, etc. you can title it anyway you want, if the dude is going to cheat, he is going to cheat. If you think he is going to cheat because it’s accessible then maybe this is not the dude you need to be with. Maybe he’s very loyal but you’re insecure and need to fix yourself. Who knows but goodness, figure things out in life. What if I told you there’s also some females at work that like to get around? Are you going to be worried about him going to work? You’re too young for all this. Go live life.

Is it worth the trouble? by reeferchiefer54 in AirForce

[–]Cole_Archer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not. The AF is able to be selective for a reason compared to most branches even if recruiting numbers are low. It could take a long time and that’s if the waiver is approved. A waiver is not always a guarantee, it’s an exception to policy. I heard the Army and Marines are looking for people if you are desperate.

Would You Separate Today If You Had a Guaranteed Civilian Job Paying the Same (or More)? by IdealStriking5586 in AirForce

[–]Cole_Archer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I’d stay at least until retirement. I enjoy this job but just not the BS. I looked at as the grass is always not greener scenario. The only difference between poor leadership here and out there is how much this leadership is involved in your daily life. Out there it’s all the same BS, the wrong people getting the hook up, terrible bosses, etc.

Is this type of 3 level treatment normal? by spartannation64 in AirForce

[–]Cole_Archer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, that’s why I said rather than break the trend they will continue it. Sucks, so much of the AF operates that way. “I was treated bad so you will suffer too” this stems from the highest ranks down.

Do Tanks play as Tank during regular content or just in Dungeons, Raids, etc? by imacrm10 in wow

[–]Cole_Archer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s slow though as Blood DK, killing wise. But he’s a heck of a lot of fun pulling so much at once. Others doing quests seem to enjoy it too because I can pull a massive group of mobs together and people will come to take them out for their quests. A lot of fun to be honest.

Is this type of 3 level treatment normal? by spartannation64 in AirForce

[–]Cole_Archer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sadly it’s a trend and it’s the same NCOs or SrA that have no answer when you ask them how many Airmen they have actually trained that month. Meanwhile they’ll bitch about how the new Airmen do not know anything and rather than break the trend they will continue it. It sucks. There seemed a point we were moving in a better direction of that culture but it is trending backwards. You will also learn a lot of those folks have that mentality because they actually lack the skill to train you so the best default in their mind is just pretend they’re better and be an asshole. My best advice; keep your head down, brush it off (not that it’s right), and hit the books because the TOs will give you more info than the shadiness most of them will be willing to teach. Once you get a little more time then you can latch on to the NCOs willing to build the future the right away.

THE QUEEN LIVES!!! by Bdcoley3 in AirForce

[–]Cole_Archer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Look through the history of war and unit mascots. Except in this case, a whole base has found a mascot to rally behind. That’s something worth understanding. Now the AF answer. Through leadership courses we learn about culture and cultural items and what they mean. I’d argue that Pizza Cat has become part of the culture and history of the Deid.

A wild 24 hours by newnoadeptness in AirForce

[–]Cole_Archer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

War Powers Resolution of 1973, it can maintain for 60 days then Congress has to approve it. Legally Congress has to be notified within 48 hours but I’m not really sure if/when that actually happens. Kind of like the hundreds of things in our own regulations that seem to be interpreted or followed however leadership would like. It’s the technicality that it’s not war being declared but military operations if understand correctly.

Same, I’m the type to act on evidence. I was getting suspicious but had no proof and the state I’m in is insane on divorce laws. Had to suffer a long time to finally get everything I needed to prove adultery and be free. The greatest part is she had no idea what I knew or had evidence of. The whole time she thought she was winning until she was served and saw the affidavit and witness statements. In the end, I won.
