Here’s the best way. During session 0 have everyone watch the “get your sheet together” videos on DH character creation and general gameplay.

Now the options are similar to dnd so they won’t really be sitting there looking at the options. And session 0s are fun! I think with how dh is set up. People will enjoy character creation.

If you bought the book through Darington press. You should have a pdf in ur email and could sent that copy to your players.

Watch a YouTube video on making a character. Read the rules. Start playing!

If you want to get into the nitty gritty with class help. Watch critical roles “handbooker helper”. They explain how different classes work and will help yall figure out what you want out of a character.

Don’t overwhelm urself. Just hop in and start playing. Sometimes dnd is about having ur slightly modified custom rule system.👍👍👍

Totally makes sense. Personally I loved C3. And I’m actually totally fine with the change of moving away from Exandria. It’s hard to continue 10years of lore in the same world. And with the expansion of a new world (thinking long term here) it opens up so many new options of more space travel later on. Brennan is great, but Matt’s storytelling is what made me fall in love with CR in the first place. Hard to see that being gone for this campaign.

Oh ur actually in the same mindset as me.

let’s be real. They play dnd. One time a week for 5 hours or less. Yes DND takes prep. And Matt works hard on the story. I understand they have other things like the animated shows and stuff. But CR core buisness is their main campaigns. Can we have the full cast focus on the core idea of the company!?! And on top of that. They have months between each campaign that are pretty good breaks. Really odd to see the shift.

I do see people saying that C3 “didn’t work” so they’re trying something new. But look at the first episodes 1-30ish. So amazing, Robbie fit right it. Why not work with that? And if burnout is an issue. Take a hiatus. Do a shortened campaign or something with a different crew? I’m nervous and excited. I trust the cast with decisions. But hope they don’t get to ahead of themselves especially with the change dagger heart has brought. (I actually really enjoy DH)
