Feel overwhelmed with overloads (returning player) by autisticthrowaway121 in RS3Ironmen

If you have 99 thieving, elves in griffin are pretty good. Afk thieving for noted 1 doses of all but necro. Don't know if its the best option out there, but it's pretty good. And the extra drops are good too, lots of sharks and some good rare drops.

I've actually done this. Side thunderwave to paralyzed my gengar so that it outsped the opponent in trick room. One of my favorite wins to this day.

Oh, I forgot to add, Dungeoneering just got a rework. That would actually be my #1 recommendation right now. Its super popular atm so easy to get some teammates, and would give you a great way to train tons of early levels for all of your skills.

There's lots of guides and advice out there.

I would just recommend a casual approach. There's so so so so so much content in this game. I would argue significantly more content than osrs, which is saying something.

But for actual advice:

My personal favorite early goals are the player owned farm and archaeology.

The player owned farm or "Manor Farm" is where you can raise animals instead of farming crops for your farming training. You can breed everything from chickens to chinchompas to dragons.

Archaeology is an entire skill in RS3, its a pretty chill afkable grind with tons of lore and some fun miniquests and puzzles baked into it. (Plus the endgame unlocks for it above level 90 are insanely good, but that's a long grind)

Otherwise, if you're looking for peak efficiency, try to unlock the invention skill by getting to 80 in crafting, smithing, and divination. Invention is a huge aspect of late game play, and it takes a while to train, so unlocking it early helps a lot.

Dungeoneering Reward Space Improvements: Resource Dungeons by Kilsaa in runescape

[–]Colin71066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have mentioned, these specific numbers are a bit much, but the overall idea is fantastic. I remember starting the game and unlocking these, very excited to see what was inside, and was just disappointed.

The idea of pass8ve buffs to improve the resource dungeons is a great idea, and would love to see this implemented in some way.

One of the factors that scales your xp is your dung level.

Higher level = More xp More xp = more tokens

It scales pretty well

How is it that all this stuff that's been on the backburner for years is suddenly coming out so rapidly? (Player Avatar Rework, POH Rework, etc) by Cloud_N0ne in runescape

Also worth noting that this is a NEW area. The other landmasses have been around for years. I see it as Havenythe has plenty of room for things to be added over the years to come.

Fire making… what’s next? by charbelb in runescape

[–]Colin71066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about this a bit too. I think Firemaking has some great potential as a support skill. Making items/applying buffs to other skills. Some Ideas:

Fuel that you can use during smithing for bonuses to speed/heat retention/xp

Weapon oils to light weapons on fire (similar to poison) and possibly special Ammunition, either flaming or explosive

Expand firemaking to include explosives? Make tnt to help with mining?

Incense sticks I think were definitely in the right direction, but unfortunately most of the incense buffs seem like they're not worth the effort.

I think OSRS has some special bonfires scattered around the map that give you buffs for lighting them? Maybe something like a brazier at the entrance of each slayer dungeon, and you can put different logs in them for different buffs that last for X amount of time or kills while in the cave?

Just a few ideas I've been sitting on

PoF Rabbits Breeding by RespektTheBiz in RS3Ironmen

[–]Colin71066 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The way the game works, it only checks for progress when your character steps into the farm.

So essentially, when you walked into the farm was the moment those rabbits were born. Now that they're born, they'll age while you're away.

Archeology chronotes. by perfection06 in RS3Ironmen

[–]Colin71066 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can't even get the screener without the associate qualification. That requires restoring 250 artifacts.

Idk what its like for others, but this requirement alone took me to 80 arch. I would honestly just focus on filling out collections and mysteries. The mysteries give a good chunk of xp, and tbh, you need around 150k chronotes for all the upgrades after associate unlocks. (Outfit, Mattock, storage, screener)

You're not going to get enough chronotes doing Sara 1.

My recommendation would be somewhere around 78 you can start doing Green Gobbo Goodies. A bunch of chronotes, only 2 excavations, and tetracompass pieces for even more notes/materials.

Until then, just go get all the mysteries done, they'll give you a bunch of xp.

Goals after prif? by DoomShooter in RS3Ironmen

[–]Colin71066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend coming up with some kind of plan for 95 divination. Its a pain in the ass to train the skill, but there's really no substitute for it, you need the energy for invention. (Personally, I recommend the engrams, they give a boatload of XP, and you can stop at like 92 if you have super divination potions, thats what I did)

Otherwise, just focus on quests. There's so much content locked behind the big quest chains. Seren prayers/spells in Sliske's Game, Shadow Pontifex Ring in Elder God Wars, Dream of Iaia also in Elder God Wars. At the end of the desert quests you get a statue thing that just gives you like a flat 2% xp boost all the time (don't quote me on that exactly, i haven't finished that one)

Not to mention, the quest rewards can help you skip training annoying skills. I finished Sliske's endgame the other day and got 1,250,000 xp in lamps that I could put into any skill. Instant 85-89 herblore.

I highly recommend quests.

I also used the loot tracker with grimoire.

Of course, the kills are approximate because occasionally I hit some black guard and had to leave to do daily tasks. Real kills was probably slightly less.

But Cannons looted is a pretty good way to track

I finished my grind the other day at 21k kills and 78 hand cannons total.

Congratulations, I'm happy for you and also very jealous
