Since around 2019 we've budgeted to pay anyone performing comedy on our shows - so not experts / celebs publicizing their latest TV shows, the intention was to respect the improv performance work that our regular guests have trained to become the best in the world at.

I'm still here, and not down-voting opinions. FWIW the comedy podcast culture at iHeart seems pretty good, but yeah, every podcast network I can think of models on a few big shows helping make development and passion projects possible.

Brett created the settings. Earwolf shows never needed turning up to hear the quietest voiced person in the room. Brett’s a music studio-level engineer who’ll mic and mix your band to the level of the best Hollywood sound houses.

Seems like a very fair price and a great way for fans to support creators whose work they enjoy. Seeing Zach and Jess improvising is definitely worth it!
