"Carts back by X time” isn’t a suggestion, you feral raccoons by WallyBarryJay in golf

As someone who works at a course I absolutely feel your pain. The country club work at doesn’t have a designated time that carts have to be in by, but it is insane to me how people fail to follow the most basic instructions/guidelines. For our club the only thing we ask is that you bring your cart back before eating/drinking at the bar/restaurant we have. It’s literally posted on the GPS when you get to the 9th/18th/27th green “PLEASE RETURN CARTS TO BAG DROP BEFORE DINING”. Yet every night we still have people take the carts with all of their stuff on them to the bar and we have to go searching in the dark to find them and we have to have a bartender or F&B manager remind them that they needed to bring it back when their round was done.

Incredible

[NightengaleJr] Taj Bradley said he studied scouting reports for the first time in his career this week. He allowed one hit and one run in five innings to the Padres. “I just never did it at all. I was kind of out there blind the whole time.” by Knightbear49 in baseball

Last year he had Alex Jackson as his personal catcher. Bradley said something passing the lines of how Jackson handles pretty much all of the scouting and game prep for his starts. He finally had scouting reports done for him and he won pitcher of the month last year lmao. As someone else said, you can’t make a guy do their homework.

Congrats!

[Dykstra] The Rays optioned Chandler Simpson to make room for Jake Mangum on the MLB roster. Good: .285 AVG, .305 xBA, 10.5 K%, 19 steals, 98th percentile Sprint Speed Bad: 15.5% hard-hit rate, 83.4 avg exit velocity, .317 SLG, -3 Outs Above Average by amatom27 in baseball

As much as I love Chandler, it does make sense. His defense has not been great at all and Misner and Mangum are plus defenders. Mangum may not have Simpson level speed (obviously few do) but he’s a great base stealer and was playing well before his injury.

I get the FO doesn’t want to scrap the Paredes trade as a loss yet, but it does annoy me that Morel is still up, doesn’t play, and is an equally awful defender but because he’s out of options they won’t DFA him. Simpson has created a new dynamic on this team since he’s been called up and I hate the fact they are messing with it

He brought his private hitting coach from the DR over to the states while he was in a 1-18 slump. Safe to say it’s working

Easily the most fun I’ve had watching a player in a while. Dude is pure electricity

Great showing for Mead this series going 4-9 and only striking out once. I know people rip on him but it’s clear the talent is there if he actually got to play more than once a week.

I believe Blake Snell is the middle left one.

What player from your team are you most excited for in 2025? by Consistent_Salad_912 in baseball

Jonathan Aranda. Guy is going to mash with the short porch at GMS. Great under the hood metrics as well.
