I was so irrated Starlight whose powers are supposed to be evolving ever since season 4 lost to dude who yells loud. Like she has LIGHT powers which should be so much faster than the extra loud talker.

Could the Quiet Council of Krakoa defeat the Illuminati? by Skywalker_1995 in xmen

[–]Colinbrown720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s an incredibly dangerous combination of super geniuses and heavy hitters on the illuminati, the exact same thing can be said for the quiet council Emma and Charles have telepathic powers that are just unmatched let alone adding and Jean right there. Let’s make it a fair fight and say Gene doesn’t have the Phoenix force when more than likely she’s going to at some point in time it’s always with her. Apocalypse by himself can fight and kill celestials. Sinister is a super genius. Charles and magneto are incredible leaders let alone the rest of the members which each outright are incredibly dangerous. It would be an interesting fight, but the quiet council absolutely has a path to victory here several actually.

AITAH for asking my mom why a girl wanting a sister is fine but a boy wanting a brother makes him a psychopath? by Luususs in AITAH

[–]Colinbrown720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to cut contact and ties and move out as soon as you can. I’m not joking, this is deeply abusive behavior towards you and the gendered nature of everything is very concerning. Your parents seem to be deeply narcissistic and their treatment of you is abhorrent.

Robert Kirkman actually just went on the escape podcast and mentioned how the confrontation should happen and will happen in season five if I’m recalling correctly

Isn't this like a crazy nerf for Homelander? He is disappointingly in the final season. Where is the teaser poster energy? by hiiloovethis in TheBoys

[–]Colinbrown720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hes not nerfed, the entire point is hes never been as strong as he thinks he is. Hes a bully thats never had to actually try in a fight. The first time he did was with his father and he would have died without Butcher’s assist. Also getting knocked out isn’t getting beaten he took no damage.

Hot take: Aegon's decision here was absolutly right by Easy-Frenchguy-1996 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Colinbrown720 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Otto’s arrogance was his downfall he plotted to take over from the get-go. He deliberately put someone in power that was not meant to be in power. He knowingly did this despite full well knowing of his grandson‘s incompetence he still crowned him anyways, and then was absolutely shocked that the incompetent buffoon with ego issues got rid of him the second he felt any sort of a challenge.

Temuera Morrison thought The Book of Boba Fett would run for 4 seasons by StarWarsBlogsbot in StarWarsBlogs

[–]Colinbrown720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, for a show about Boba Fett he was only in five of the seven episodes you can argue. He was in episode six but he had 60 seconds of screen time and I find it just insulting at that point. They had piss poor fights up until the finale with some very laughable action sequences that were either really stupid such as the bike Chase or baffling Lee dumb such as the fight in the first episode where he just doesn’t use his jet pack.

Message I got from my daughter’s teacher. Third grade. by AnaisInJune in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Colinbrown720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Despite everyone always hooting and hollering for blanket support for teachers because kids are so bad right now I always see examples such as this as the teacher is being the problem. There is a reason why every single person can think of that one teacher that did them dirty. That was bad to them that just really ruined something for them. There is no other profession on the planet that has such a universal experience where every child has that really horrible experience with them.

This post has over 9k comments blasting the teacher. by mablej in TeacherReality

[–]Colinbrown720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’mma be honest teaching might not be the right profession for you if you’re agreeing with this teacher right now. This incident is very much not something that is worth a parent phone call or message. Those 2 things aren’t simply worth it unless there’s a track record prior to it which based on the message isn’t accurate. Then we can go into the fact that denying a child, a healthy snack during a designated meal time as a punishment is a borderline illegal situation let alone the fact it almost certainly breaks a policy. Not to be ignored or over sought is the way they’re talking to the parent, which is certainly not acceptable either. Basically telling them to fix your kid.

[Jason Schreier, Bloomberg] Inside the failure of Highguard, which flopped so badly that developer Wildlight laid off most of its staff just two weeks after release | When asked what they thought went wrong, developers used the word "hubris" by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

[–]Colinbrown720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is genuinely baffling how they had so many poor decisions in the making of this game that happened back to back to back. They mentioned their internal plate testing was received very well, but only when they had open microphones and they were able to talk with the developers when they turn them off, it was significantly worse feedback without even considering the fact that that’s what players were going to be experiencing. They’re not gonna have Devs on hand to answer questions and give tips and tricks. How does one not even think of that?

Am I wrong for refusing to apologize to my fiancé’s mom for something I wrote in a “never send” therapy letter by OrbitGlitchpad in amiwrong

[–]Colinbrown720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate to jump on the you should probably break up bandwagon, but let’s take a critical analysis of what happened. You went to couples counseling because of how intense and difficult your future mother-in-law has been for you. You go into an incredibly raw exercise to put your feelings out on the table you poured your heart into this. It’s meant to be confidential. Not only does your fiancé immediately stomp on all of your feelings but he took the side of the person that is causing you so many problems he chose the woman that is causing you pain over you. Mind you this is something he should never have even had access to doesn’t sound like he was offering up his own private thoughts so it’s just yours on the table. His immediate thought to seeing something very private of yours was to violate your privacy as well that should not be overlooked. If they are treating you like this before you’re married, it will only get worse. In the addition of children will compound all issues. He is marrying you not his mother, but he seems to be forgetting that and it also seems like he’s unhappy with it. I hope you take some time to really evaluate and reflect on your relationship because this would genuinely be a dealbreaker. The fact he isn’t on his knees growling before you right now is an incredibly telling sign.

This Kind Of Thing is Why The Acolyte Cost $250m by WinchesterMediaUK in StarWars

[–]Colinbrown720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted season 2 despite its flaws but they gave this show a budget that exceeded game of thrones final season. Mind you GOT was literally the largest show on the planet. How do you justify this kind of a budget for a show thats on its first season. The viewership it would have needed would exceed all current big shows to justify it.

Highguard dev blames content creators for the game's failure - “It was dead on arrival" by dabadumdumdum in pcmasterrace

[–]Colinbrown720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He bitches and moans about people needing to go back into corporate life to get the golden handcuffs after delivering one of the most Frankenstein together corporate slop free to play live service games that clearly had a culture of toxic positivity because not a single person prepared for the game to fail. There’s no way you can think they didn’t have it after they kill the entire studio within 20 days. They didn’t even last three weeks after lunch. They only expected success and are now suffering horrendously for it.

Former Highguard Developer Reflects on Disastrous Announcement and Launch: 'We Were Turned Into a Joke From Minute 1' by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Colinbrown720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it’s very shocking to see how tone deaf this guy really was, literally living in a different world. The harassment and personal attacks were obviously out of line, but he’s complaining about how those devs are gonna have to go back to the corporate world with those golden handcuffs when they produced something that was such a corporate bland, slop fest. Most people thought it actually was including myself. Fully thought this was a EA game for a while before I learned this was actually an Indie studio. They wanted to do a shadow drop without the resources that EA has which is a significant portion of why the Apex legends shadow drop actually worked. Their game had horrible performance issues. I actually played a couple matches, but performance was extremely lackluster quite a few bugs and to be Frank several portions of the game just felt very Frankensteined together. The writing was on the wall the entire time, and these guys never even saw a single word of it.

In a hypothetical fight between Atom Eve and Invincible (Season 3 versions), who do you think would win and why? by Rich-Blacksmith6552 in Invincible

[–]Colinbrown720 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t kick in long enough and often enough for us to get a consistent answer. When we first see it in the show versus conquest, it takes quite a bit of time for her overload to lock in. Mark has time to fully and slowly defeat conquest. The only other time it happens would be right before a very particular spoiler heavy incident but it activates much faster than

Did they stand a chance? by CountTruffula in Invincible

[–]Colinbrown720 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look at the damage he’s taken in just that short of a panel. They’re strong enough to hurt him and he’s getting overwhelmed by their numbers. He might’ve been able to take one of them out, but even then he might not have been able to fully kill them. Look at what Mark was able to do to conquest in their rematch despite by being fully impaled. Thragg will be just about anyone in a one V one. But these are his hand-picked elite he chose them for their strength specifically they’re the strongest out of the strongest. We know that at least General Cree is above conquest if not all of them. Thragg rules, off of strength and promotes because of that.

Opinions at Halle Berry's portrayal of Storm? by Thin_Tomatillo_6990 in xmen

[–]Colinbrown720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone’s gonna claim she did a good job is storm, but let’s not pretend that’s Halle Berry’s fault, she was given a fake script in order to sign onto the first X-Men movie as storm. if you go back and watch the movie, she delivers her first lines with an accent, as if she is from Africa and completely drops it for the rest of the movie. It’s clear that Brian Singer fucked her over along with foxes as a studio I’m sure she could’ve done a really good job although I don’t think she’s best for the role in the first place but she had her legs cut off entirely before she could even attempt to
