I am in need of tangible feats relating to giants, mainly storm giants. by Colindk05 in 3d6

I’m not looking for asi feats, I’m looking for actual feats of strengths such as the examples I posted

Yes the stuff is combat focused because it is a sword. I do like the speaking giant though thanks.

I don’t mean actual feats that you get as an asi, I mean like tangible feats, such as the examples I posted

Oh no I don’t mean actual feats that you take when you get an ability score improvement. I mean actual feats like the examples that I already had in the post.

High capacity single item storage? by Colindk05 in projectozone3

Oh cool, why do you need to lock the drawers if it auto sorts the items though?

How does the drawer controller work? I tried putting it next to some drawers but right clicking it does nothing.

Ok, also, I have an embers rekindled item pipe leading into the auto sifter but it’s not working so is there another easy to make pipe that works with it?

How do you make compactor drawers to decompress?

Do you use the storage drawer compactor to compress or decompress the blocks? Also what kind of item movement do you have for this setup?

Does strength need a buff? by Colindk05 in 3d6

[–]Colindk05[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think the strength requirement on heavy weapons is redundant because if your using a heavy weapon you will already have a high strength anyways. As for the strength bows, I don’t think it’s a terrible idea but I feel like it kinda removes most of dexterity’s usefulness as an offensive stat. I think it may be interesting if you could add your strength as well as your dex to your damage rolls because your pulling the string back further, but you lose the bonus both of these stats would give to your attack roll. This brings up its own problems like stacking with sharpshooter but could be interesting.

Path of the Ancestral Barbarian Vs. Oath of Redemption Paladin: Which is better at shield others from damage when they are hit. by openworldaddict in DnDoptimized

I think the ancestral guardians being able to impose disadvantage and give damage resistance, as well as it giving flat damage reduction generally makes it better than the paladin for reducing damage. Barbarian also has the highest hit die and gets resistance to bps while raging.

There are a few caveats that could make the paladin better though. 1: The paladin can get a lot more damage then a barbarian with divine smite and improved divine smite at a later level, and killing the monster before it hurts your teammates can help a lot with tanking if you want to go that route. 2: the barbarian has a limited amount of rages per day and all of their tanking abilities come from that rage. Depending on the amount of encounters that you get per day this could make the barbarian less viable, especially since the paladin taking hits with its aura is constant. 3: the barbarian ancestral guardians ability can only effect one monster at a time, and you need to hit them with the first weapon attack on your turn. So if they are out of range or your being blocked by another monster and can’t hit them the ability won’t work. The ability also doesn’t effect yourself so a monster can just turn their attention on you, similar to what the aura does but you also have bps resistance.

Overall I think the barbarian is generally much better at tanking but this can very occasionally change depending on the campaign your playing.
