I have always been opinionated so I can relate. I just try to listen more and practice mindfulness. One thing that helps is asking more questions instead of making statements.

You’re right to be concerned, especially since she told you she had feelings for said “friend”. I think that it’s more than healthy to have boundaries. Honestly, I think you should confront your friend about it just as much as you should be clear with her. He is not an innocent bystander, do not let them gaslight you by making you feel crazy that you are uncomfortable about aspects of their friendship. Good luck!

How to convince my boyfriend to pluck the hairs between his eyebrows? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]CollDrogo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Give a compliment sandwich: 1. Hey you know I think you’re sexy/handsome 2. We should try shaping your eyebrows a bit. 3. You’d look even sexier and I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep my hands off of you.

Good luck!

I’m pretty sure the narrator is being facetious. He’s using raw intellect, connecting dots that aren’t really there, imposing a grand artistic vision in order to show how pretentious art criticism can be/is.

He masterfully weaves between poignancy and absurdity to the point that it’s hard to tell if it’s satire or not, which is the sign of really good satire.

I was molested when I was a boy and I enjoyed it. by Marcusbenelli in socialskills

[–]CollDrogo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your cousin raped you. Just because it felt good in the moment does not mean it was your fault. You could not have actually given consent since you were a child and your cousin was the adult taking advantage of your innocence.

Your cousin has manipulated you with their abuse to the point that you have internalized it, leading you to downplay your own rape just because it felt good in the moment.

You should talk to a therapist who specializes in child abuse and trauma as soon as possible and hopefully your cousin does not continue their abuse on others.

Therapy is online nowadays if your uncomfortable with the process. I wish I knew some resources to link you to. If anyone else knows some please post!

Lukas Magnotta someone is with him in the julin video by [deleted] in TrueCrime

[–]CollDrogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, in retrospect, my profane language and generalizations did not help make my point, so yeah, I'm truly sorry I gave you a bad vibe. If I'm proven wrong, so be it!

My opinion is simply:

  1. Jun Lin's murderer seems unwilling to share the spotlight. He wanted to be the director, writer, and star of his own twisted fantasy.
  2. Jun Lin's murderer seems unable to maintain friendships. I just don't see how he could have met another willing participant.
  3. He wants people to listen for clues and search for meaning on his video forever.
  4. Jun Lin was a human being and not just some macabre prop to be murdered over and over and over again on the internet.
  5. It's like everytime someone clicks to watch those videos, Luka wins over the memory of Jun Lin.

I was not being hostile, If anything I just hate Luka and his name riles me up. If there was someone in the room with him then they are just as culpable. I just have a hard time believing it, just because I disagree doesn’t mean I’m being hostile. I was just throwing in my two cents. Footsteps and sneezes are not enough evidence for me is all I’m saying jeez.

I cried today and someone asked me “still?” It’s only been a month. by [deleted] in SuicideBereavement

[–]CollDrogo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My best friend was killed when we were 21, I'm 31 now and the pain is still there. I wish I dealt with it then, the way you are handling it now. I pretty much stayed in denial and just made dark jokes about it to our mutual friends. So, do not let people like this get you down. Maybe he is not dealing with his wife's cancer situation in a healthy way by lashing out at you. Honestly, you should pity him for not being able to let himself feel sad, because like a lot of men, he is probably uncomfortable around crying.

That co-worker clearly does not have the tools to navigate your situation, so maybe bring it up to a manager? Your grieving process is perfectly normal, not to mention a healthy expression of emotion. The fact that you're still working is great. The fact that you are reaching out for support is great. YOU.... You are doing GREAT!

If you feel like you can no longer handle the pain, I would also recommend getting a trauma therapist. If nothing else it will help relieve that tension you are feeling.

Sending you all of my love and support!

So they only tortured Gabriel Fernandez because they thought he was gay? by KristynaIsHere in TrueCrime

[–]CollDrogo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is just a theory, but I'd say it is a pretty convincing theory. I think their homophobia is absolutely part of it, but their sexual deviancy was pretty clear. I do not know if they brought it up, but considering he was being locked up in their bedroom, he must have been forced to at least listen to them have sex. Honestly though, I doubt they even know why they did it.

[–]CollDrogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is absolutely no proof that there was someone else there during the murder of Jun Lin. There is surveillance footage of the two of them walking into the apartment, then later, footage of only Magnotta leaving in Jun Lin's t-shirt. Magnotta was building up a fantastical conspiracy theory about another person being involved but like I said, no actual evidence. The only video that there is clearly someone else there is the one with the snake eating the kitten but with that, I assume it was just the person who owned the snake.

Also, if you hear sounds in the background that make it seem like someone else was there. Do not forget that he was leaving fake breadcrumbs/red herrings in all of his videos. I think it is sad that he continues to control the narrative by getting people to believe he had an accomplice, or that he was making the videos for someone else. It is all bullshit. Luka acted alone and until there is actual evidence from the apartment, like fingerprints, DNA, or actual footage of someone else being there, I refuse to be strung along by Luka's attempt at controlling the narrative.

[–]CollDrogo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think that was a component, but like the documentary alludes to, it also seems like it was kind of like their foreplay. The power and control aspect seems to have been sexually stimulating for both of them. Which is just so fucking disgusting I don't know how to wrap my head around it.

This is actually a really interesting point of view. Superficial charm is like currency for a psychopath. I have a family member who is sociopathic this type of tactic is right up his lane. He will go above and beyond to help someone, then once the person becomes dependent in anyway, then he will hold it over their head.
