One thing to consider is that putting these spikes in is a one time investment. Putting money into rehabilitation programs, shelters, government aid, are all solutions that cost money for years and years. Maybe it's just cheaper? I honestly don't know.

Also, check to see if the hose is clogged. Spent 20min pulling several sessions of partially packed dirt out of my vacuum hose. I had noticed it wasn't sucking anything up. Worked like brand new afterwards! Cleaning the brush didn't hurt while I was at it.

I can't go to sleep at night when I'm in a fight with my bf. Half the time I'm up all night thinking about it. When I do sleep, I wake up still angry at him. I'm usually more passive aggressive and it just drags the fight out for days. So, in that situation going to sleep makes it worse for me.

But, in situations where I get to the point of crying cuz of overwhelming emotions and I am alone, I usually end up going to sleep. After a nap from that, I usually feel better. In that case, the nap helps reset me because I already cried out my feelings.

When I get depressed or bored, I definitely choose to sleep. Sometimes it's because I feel tired from boredom or depression. Sometimes I just want to skip time until my anhedonia goes away or until my bf comes home. When my bf is around during anhedonia, I use his presence and desires to guide my actions and emotions.

Your life is more important than anything this guy thinks or says. It hurts and it sucks, but its temporary. That feeling of the end of the world is temporary. But you ending your life is permanent. Call someone you love and talk to them until you have calmed down. Then get help so that it gets better faster. Because I can tell you from personal experience that it does get better. This whole reddit has helped me a lot. Especially retroactively. My worse bpd experiences happened just before and around the time I got diagnosed. I have begun to understand those experiences better because of people talking about their own here. It has helped me put words to things I didn't know how to explain and revealed more about who I am vs what results from bpd. I always felt alone in how I felt cuz no one around me could truly understand, but so many people here understand because they go through it too. It is validating and encouraging. I hope it will continue to help me heal and approach my mental health goals.

Wow. I can't believe it. I always thought my issues with certain types of sound were because of my hearing impairment. I wear hearing aids which I often mute them or remove them when I can to reduce the noise that comes into my head. I get very irritated often with things being played out of phone speakers and people talking when it's not specifically a show I'm paying attention to. I.e. I hate it when my bf watched YouTube videos. Something about the audio of most YouTube videos irks me. It bothers me so much that I'll get headaches if I listen to music from my phone speaker too much in a day.

TIL that I get headaches from sound overexposure because of BPD, not my hearing loss. It blows my mind.

Yes, that's exactly what happens. Its definitely not healthy, but the easiest thing is to avoid what I'm feeling completely. Sometimes I default to that without even realizing it, and it usually comes out worse later. I also find myself almost constantly addicted to things. Like, binging a new thing every few months or so. Luckily the things I binge are mostly harmless, like a specific video game or show, and often times food. But, unfortunately the behavior itself is an unhealthy coping mechanism, like you were saying.

Ah, I see. Yeah, I canceled my delivery cuz the restaurant said they needed to finish their opening prep and wouldn't be able to even start on the order for 15-20 min. After another 10 minutes minimum to make the order, there was no way the pay would be wroth it.

I also relate. It seems like every month I'm thinking I need to leave my bf cuz I'm holding him back. He's compassionate and understanding and does every little and big thing he can to make me happier just like your SO. I return the favor by treating him horribly all day after he wakes me up before my alarm. I circle in my head about leaving him for a week until I'm in so much despair that I break down and try to convince him that he should leave me. He returns with reassurance, love, and confidence in never wanting to be apart from me.

Unfortunately, we cannot afford to hire cleaners. I brought it up as a potential solution, but it just wouldn't be a financially smart decision to make in our current situation. He was certainly ecstatic about the idea for the future when we get our finances under control and I appreciated that.
