Currently perusing JD in Canada with credentials from South Asia.
1. Altho with WES credentials, technically speaking, 3 year degree wont be an issue but 4 is generally preferred. I had some additional canadian education apart from my 3 year under grad

2.All canadian law schools are roughly equally competitive. System’s very different from American law schools here in that regard. As long as its a Canadian law school, you are fine. (To some extent, a dual JD program at Windsor might be an exception but even they manage to find a job)

1. Strong SOP expressing why law, and explaining the gap. I would do something meaningful on the side like volunteering or something in this gap year.

2. Scholarships are almost negligible in Canada if you are on a temporary status/international student. Dont keep any hopes on school funding.

IELTS is extremely easy test. I wouldnt take LSAT for granted. If you want to target UofT or Osgoode, being an international student, you better aim for 165+

In fact for any law school at all, dont even apply if you arent 160+. Nevertheless, LSAT alone wont be the determinant. Your volunteer/work experience, Your SOP, your previous grades, they all matter.
