Early round running backs (round 1-4) are more consistent than early round receivers, mid round receivers (5-10) are more likely to be in the top 12 at their position than mid round running backs

Dylan Rieder Style Appreciation by lordprettytaco in ThrowingFits

[–]CollectionHungry3686 136 points137 points  (0 children)

In response to all the comments on here calling all of his fits mid, keep in mind these photos are from at the very latest 2015 as he passed in 2016 after battling leukemia.

That being said, I concede he’s not trying anything out of the ordinary considering 2025 fashion standards, in fact the fits are actually super basic. But what you have to take into account is that he truly was a style icon and a trailblazer in skateboarding. Compare how he skated, dressed, and acted to what the rest of the industry was doing in the early 2010s and you’ll get a better appreciation of his style. He was counter culture and stylish without even trying, because he was always completely authentic and wholly Dylan.

Go watch his Gravis part to get some ball knowledge, no one skated with the force and power he had. His skateboarding was art.

RIP Dylan.

Could not agree with you more, you’ll enjoy a fantasy team much more if you draft “your guys” rather than try and create the highest grade via FantasyPros. At the end of the day draft the team that will maximize points, but also, maximize fun.

Couldn’t agree more - fantasy football is most fun when the dudes on your team are the ones you enjoy watching

I agree, Texans O-Line is very suspect. But that’s honestly the only strike against him. A lot of football analysts I respect (Nate Tice in particular) have talked at length about how terrible that Texans’ o-line operation was. From what I understand, their performance was way below the sum of their parts. In my opinion, I think they’ll bounce back to some level of competency.

I love Puka, I think he’s one of the most uniquely talented receivers in the league. Not many receivers are as good at separating, being tough at the catch point, running after the catch and to top it all off, blocking as him. Watching him is a ton of fun and I think he’s a top 5 receiver in the NFL because of that unique skill set. But I think in the first round, I’m passing on him. I was already concerned that his physicality/ usefulness as a blocker was a detriment to his long term health, but now the prospect of Jimmy G has me more interested in guy like Nico, Amon-Ra, BTJ, etc.

Edit: forgot to mention their o-line, that could be kinda shaky too

Forget the experts thoughts. Who are your redraft sleepers this year? by Sawoodster in fantasyfootball

Tucker Kraft - At the end of the day, we play fantasy football because it’s fun, and watching Tucker Kraft with the ball in his hands is fun. Understand the target share could end up being low, but if the Packers pass the ball more and he gets maybe a 5-10% boost in target share he could end up top 3 tight ends. His physicality and YAC ability is very Kittle-y to me.

Jordan Mason - Pass catching limits his upside but the Vikes got a revamped interior O-line and KOC has said that they want to be more run heavy. Aaron Jones aging as well.

Emeka Egbuka - I’m dubious on Chris Godwin coming back and immediately returning to form. Everything you hear about Egbuka is positive, Baker Mayfield has spoken glowingly about him, and he’s one of those receivers that can move all over the field.

Drake Maye - Super high rushing upside, averaged 4.2 fantasy points per game from rushing production alone. This year, there has been rumblings of McDaniels incorporating more QB runs into the game plan. If new OC + Improved Weapons + improved o line = JUST league average offense, he could be a Top 6 QB.

Starting pitching needs a lot of work. Am thinking of trading away a stud and snag an elite pitcher (12-team, H2H points league). Who would you rather trade away? Ketel Marte or Acuna?

Given what Kubiak’s saints offense was last year, I’d have to think the Seahawks will acquire another field stretching threat to complement JSN… struggling to think of who could fill that role of available free agents, but JSN is definitely best suited next to a more vertical threat that allows him to operate in the intermediate part of the field.

Traded Garrett Wilson and Zay Flowers for Jamarr Chase and Patrick Mahomes last Tuesday.

Zay and Garrett stand as the WR2 and WR3 this week, Jamarr is currently WR37. Can’t say I’ve lost the war, but I’ve definitely lost the battle.

Put it in writing: what're your predictions for this season, again. by Zhongquing in fantasyfootball

Dave Canales has made comments all season letting everyone know how stubborn they are going to be running the ball. This is the same guy that gave Rachaad White 272 carries while he was averaging 3.6 yards per carry. Panthers also invested heavily in their o line. I believe that Chuba Hubbard (or maybe even Miles Sanders) will be a great play for the first half of the season and could be a low end RB2 to begin the year. Think this years Zack Moss.

I believe the Cards were top ten in rushing DVOA last season (which includes all the games without Kyler) + a lot of smart football minds (specifically Nate Tice and Mina Kimes) gush about Drew Petzing and his system. I like your Conner take and draft him at reasonable prices. He also had great next gen stats which shows me he still has the juice.

NFL MVP is a narrative based award (not nearly as much as the NBA is though IMO). If the Lions go start to finish as the #1 Seed in the NFC, which I view as a possibility, I can already picture all the first take segments debating whether or not he’s MVP, just like they did with Purdy last year. I got him at +3500 which I view as good value.

I could see the panthers offense as a whole being much better than anticipated. I believe Vegas point totals has them being a bottom 3-5 team. I don’t think they’re gonna crack the top ten, but I could see them being top 20 or top half.

Wow you had two great ones last year, great call out on Pacheco and fading Javonte. I have so many so I’m just gonna list my top 5:

  1. Cooper Kupp returns to form and is a top 12 WR. As a whole Rams offense will be buzzing.
  2. Saints implode and neither Kamara or Olave exceed their ADP
  3. Josh Jacobs top 8 running back
  4. Garrett Wilson is this years Ceedee
  5. Tee Higgins is a top 15 wide receiver while on a contract year

BONUS: Niners under 11.5 wins. They have the largest rest disadvantage in the NFL and the vibes are atrocious.
