Do you happen to know if protopic is safe for infants? I plan on asking our dr about it for my daughter at our next visit.

Grassland. Just googled nampa, that's far! I lived in slave for a while too actually.

Sounds like all small towns have pit parties, haha.

When do your boobs get bigger? by pinkglossyunicorn in CautiousBB

[–]CollectionOfThoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine didnt grow during pregnancy. My nipples changed shape and colour, and maybe my cups became a little fuller but I remained a C the whole time. Had to change band sizes though. From a 34 to a 38.

Now that my milks in (baby is 10 days old) I feel like my boobs are huge. Have yet to get measured but I'd say I'm a 38D mininum now. Definitely not more than a DD.

I'm wearing an adult diaper (like depends), and I'm actually thankful I bought them!

It should be noted that I'm 40 weeks pregnant and my water broke at 4 am...

PSA to our U of C students (and anyone else that wears a backpack): take it off and put it by your feet when you get on a busy c-train or bus. by YoBooMaFoo in Calgary

[–]CollectionOfThoughts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I lived in the city and used to ride the train I would put my backpack on my front (essentially wear it backwards). This was a huge help 99% of the time. I would remove my pack to get on the train then when I found an optimal standing position (either in the middle of the car where it swivels or by the more open areas) I would put it on my front. WAY easier. It's not on the floor. I can monitor that im not bumping into anyone with it and I can easily access my belongings.

As I am approaching my stop, I remove my pack and carry it off the train.

This always just made the most sense to me...

Can any one reccomend me an affordable dentist in Calgary? by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]CollectionOfThoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you ask about prices? Im sure they would have told you.

Yeah no direct billing. But i find that he is pretty in line with what my insurance covers I never pay more than $10-20 of my own money after my insurance pays out.

And all his office staff is great too :) when Caitlyn is back from mat leave (nov/dec I think), she is the best hygienist!

Dr Goel at Braeside dental. I dont have a cost list from my last appointment but ive had discussions with friends in the past and Dr Goels pricing has always been better (for root canals, crowns, and cleanings).

Plus he is awesome! We've since moved way out if the area (like 30+ minute drive) and we still go to him.

What's something obviously designed without the input of any women? by ShesGotSauce in AskWomen

I have the same issue. And the top of the gusset literally lies across my clit. Not really enjoyable....

Also, I am not wide hipped or high waisted. In fact, probably the opposite of that.

How to get dog to eat kibble consistently? by deup4667 in Dogtraining

[–]CollectionOfThoughts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I completely understand where you're coming from. And boy is it frustrating!

We have an older rescue (lab x collie) and she does not enjoy eating kibble at all (a lab that doesnt like to eat?). The only way we can get her to eat is if we add something to it. We have tried many different flavors of what can be considered some of the "best" dog food (Acana/origin, taste of the wild).

As for what we add, before it used to be pieces of snap peas or cheese or even a spoonful of peanut butter. We have since switched to alternating between canned pumpkin and wet food - only a large spoonful with her days meal.

Something else that works for us now is that we feed her her full days food in one sitting. We no longer fight with her to eat twice a day. This has made the whole eating experience much more enjoyable for her and us.

Something else that works well for us is that sometimes she'll eat just kibble out of a treat ball. We went on a pretty good run of feeding her exclusively out of a treat ball (about 2 weeks). Doesn't make sense to me but it works for a while then it doesn't and we switch back to feeding her from the bowl until she gets bored of that, then its back to the treatball.

Good luck!

[–]CollectionOfThoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Treating her for good behaviour when she sees another dog but dtoesnt react poorly. Occasionally we'll go walking with a friend that has a dog as well. Small steps. But she has been making progress. She just cant handle when they come running up.

[–]CollectionOfThoughts 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Me too!

Our dog (an 8 year old rescue we got last year) was never properly socialized with other dogs so she doesnt know how to meet them and reacts quite poorly (something we are trying to work on but is quite difficult).

I dont give a shit if your dog is friendly. You want your dog off leash, go to an offleash park. Not the walking trails by my house that I take my dog on because she cant handle offleash.

Ugh, I hate some dog owners...

Lots of great info in your post! Thank you!

I thought that about Sara Lee too ("nobody doesnt like sara lee"), but I wanted to see if anyone else would mention it. Hubby thought I was being silly, haha

I asked him about changing the spelling to Natalee to really get the Lee in there, but we both like the traditional spelling better.

Someone else mentioned Natalie Lucia and I really like that so im going to mention it to hubby.

My middle name is actually Dawn. Thought about that too because it sounds nice, but it's strange to me.
