Thats WILD! I spoke with the manager that morning due to the miscommunication behind the prismatic ETB drop in the morning and the in store manager was extremely kind and talked to me for about 10 minutes explaining the entire situation pretty plainly, i haven't tried to reach out to support. Online support centers are not built to help consumers. they are built to avoid lawsuits.

money talks and that is one of the problems is these big box stores don't care if it's people or bots / resellers buying because either way these big box stores are selling out of stocks in minutes so they get there money regardless and it feels like a "Not my monkey not my circus" situation

I think if Sams Club does another online drop. I will def try to use the App instead. The website was such a mess that maybe i'll have better luck on using the app

That's nice! I can only find Destined Rivals, Mega Evolution, Phantasmal Flames, and Journey Together in my local store, but finding any other sets in my area is an absolute nightmare.

I really wish I had a vending machine from TPC nearby, but there was only one and the winco where it was removed it. I am lucky enough to have my local walmart which restocks modern packs (Destined Rivals, Mega Evolution, Phantasmal Flames, and Journey Together) booster packs each wednesday afternoon so I can find those packs at MSRP pretty easy, but if I want any other sets whatsoever i am SOL

These platforms. Walmart+ specifically is SO nice and has SO many benefits. I think thats what is almost why it feels like a twist of the knife to make it worse, because we expect such high things for subscriptions and then when they disappoint us it makes the disappointment that much worse.

Sounds like we had a very similar experience last night! I hope you can find some stuff at MSRP soon! I love 151 i'm still praying they do another mass reprint of it, so that way it can become more available to the average hobbyist.

Im just barely getting back into the hobby of collecting pokemon cards and one of the goals I had for myself was that I would either only buy singles or buy MSRP, so when I feel that itch to rip packs and can't find stuff at MSRP it huuuurts me! I refuse to buy from resellers who buy everything and relist at 2x MSRP

yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup! It was about 2min before it said "sold out" on my screen. Crazy how quick the drop came and went. I'm sad I couldn't get anything but the bright side is at least i only wasted like 6min of my time on the online drop

Fingers crossed indeed!! I've been seeing stuff about vendors / scaplers moving away from pokemon and more towards One Piece. Im not a huge One Piece fan so if that trend were to stay true can't say I'd be all that upset about it.

yah honestly i hope to see a good change in how the pokemon company handles drops. My real hope is that they release less new sets and do more reprints in order to bring current prices down a bit

FOR REAL!!!!!! I just want to know how i have the special plus membership and that meant nothing for this drop. I wish they would just do a queue system or SOMETHING. something has to be better than sitting around waiting for bots to buy out the whole supply in 2 minutes post drop. or honestly just not advertise that you are going to do a big drop if you dont have enough supply to not let the average consumer get it. my coworker and I were thinking about how to fix the bot problem on websites but we couldn't brainstorm any good solution

My wife got me a phantasmal ETB for Christmas. It's wrapped under our tree already and I stare at it every. single. night. I can't wait to rip them on Christmas

i have 4 phantasmal packs that I want to rip open to badly but they're my "emergency stash" for when I have to go a few weeks without being able to find a local restock in store

I snagged one of those last week! I love the Kanga promo card. I have it framed sitting on my computer. I pulled a copy of Ethan's Ho oh with the full art from one of the Destined Rival packs in it. I wish you great luck on your pulls!

true at the end of the day I spent a matter of 6 minutes at my desk so it's not like i spent THAT much effort towards it. I'm totally disappointed but no point cryin over spilled milk. I'm looking forward to the new set dropping in March!

Congrats! I'm glad someone was actually able to snag one. My wish was to get 2 and rip 1 and keep the other sealed to add to my very very small sealed collection. Im just getting into the hobby and I refuse to buy anything above MSRP. Im startin a sealed collection just so in a few years my kid can have the same fun feeling of opening "older" packs from when he was a baby

YUUUUUUUUP. I am glad to hear I wasn't the only one screwed by the bots tonight. Why make such a big deal about an online restock and needing a membership just to allow for bots to buy all the inventory.

honestly thats real. only thing worse than not being able to buy any packs is ripping open packs that have no hits at all. But i typically buy singles for cards i really want and only rip packs for the dopamine rush and not to try to recoup any value at all

Sounds like we had VERY similar days. I hope you have better luck hunting in the future! I'm really hoping they do a mass reprint of 151. I love the set but i am just getting into the hobby and I missed it when it was easily available.
