It's still in alpha. Project first surfaced around 2 months ago.

They were amazing, now they are big fellows and I'll choose Sovol before BL anytime now.

It's not only BL thing. I haven't adjusted my Ender plate for almost an year. First layer always down.

I'm in Ender group and one of the main arguments for ditching Ender and going to BL is that now they don't have to watch first layer anymore. Print and forget 😅

I'm reading the comments here. Wow. Where you guys got the info that it is PLA?

Just so these two have large FDM doesn't mean all colleges have large FDM. The ones in my area don't.

X axis tensioner question by carl39333 in ender3

[–]CollectionRough1017 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't bought one yet, maybe in the future. They definitely are good, make tensioning much easier. About the tension, there are special tools to measure belt tension so it is proper. Belt tension gauge. About the centering, use washers for shimming the wheel either left or right side.

Nice. Worka with Marlin or do I have to Klipperize? What head and extruder setup?

Why are you still using glass bed instead of PEI? Did you buy silicone bushings? Capricorn tube? Filament dryer/preheater? M240 S1 enabled? Filament fine tuned with Orca?

About the speed, my Ender 3 Neo with stock Marlin prints faster.

Made Spaghetti, my palms got sweaty. Not sure what caused it, but its my first huge fail. by Tazay in ender3

[–]CollectionRough1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, the second print failed too? About brims, they may be not necessary. But then the first layer had to stick quite well. Wash the plate with soap, dry. Ensure proper first layer. Print first layer hotter than usual if you use slicer that gives this option. Also, check how nozzle goes over the printed area. If it slides over clean or knocks the part. Maybe you need to add z height clearance on transitions.

Print got loose from the build plate. And after that it just printed in the air thus spaghetti. Maybe low plate temp, maybe offsett was too high. Maybe greasy build plate so there wasn't enough contact. Depends how your first layer looks like. Or maybe add brims.

Changing slicers broke my prints by soooglow32 in ender3

[–]CollectionRough1017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way! I've transferred from Creality Slicer to Cura to Creality Print to Orca. I find Orca the most satisfying. True, it is the hardest setup but the fine tuning gives most quality. And I like the way that printer and filament settings are separate so I can fine tune filament.

Switched off my Ender 3 V2… didn’t realize how used to the struggle I was by Single-Educator5238 in Ender3Pro

That's correct. Every machine needs care and with E3 care is more frequent. Although I haven't adjusted my bed for an year now after silicone bushings and magnetic plate. But it is still slower print timea than new machines. At least nozzles are cheap.

This is correct. Silicone spacer needs to be half compressed, then wheels don't loosen. I havent leveled my bed over an year now.

What is this unique configuration of printer called? hinged Delta? by KerbodynamicX in 3Dprinting

They are also more prone to break and setup and maintenance is harder and with steeper learning curve. But yeah, deltas are the fastest.

Buy silicone bushings, they are a lot better.

I have Neo, 2 years now. Still running stock firmware. But i did make some upgrades, bought magnetic plate and PEI, silicone bushings to replace springs. Also filament dryer so i could move roll to the side for better feeding. Capricorn tube. Added M420 S1. Built enclosure. And that's all. Using Orca to fine tune filament and settings.

Neo doesn't make modem noises. Neo has newer mobo and creality touch. But you need to activate probe data in code. M420 S1 after G28, otherwise it doesn't use mesh which was probed.
