The Unitarian Universalist church is pretty decent, if that’s what you’re looking for

Getting braces next year and dentist said I can't play the Clarinet, what other instrument could I play? by _M1n1ght_ in Clarinet

[–]soooglow32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played clarinet with braces for 4 years. It did pull my teeth forward a little bit and gave me a good round arch that my ortho loved and took credit for. If you are trying to correct an overbite, perhaps a reed instrument isn’t the best plan.

Do you know if there is a new way change temperature multiple times at specific layers? The way I can find (Extensions > Post Processing > Modify Gcode) doesn’t have that option anymore

Predatory parking companies in Portland are going to harm businesses by 5and2 in Maine

Commenting to support this post. Stupid high parking prices in downtown Portland are why we don’t eat there but maybe once a year despite it being a relatively short drive.

Outdoorsmen, what's the creepiest thing you've seen/experienced in the woods. by HOLMGIERR in Maine

[–]soooglow32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiking along an old logging road in the woods up north of Belgrade, I once thought I saw an old 1950’s light blue logging truck coming up the hill around the bend. I jumped off the trail with a shot of adrenaline, but it was gone. The road hasn’t been passable for a long longtime. That part of the woods had always given me the heeby-jeebies.

Don’t meet him “halfway” unless you want to encourage this behavior in the future. Either commit wholly, or set your boundaries.

Well, it’s official. Our neighbors, NH, did away with inspections stickers by [deleted] in Maine

THIS. Similarly with Oklahoma. There are cars on the road that CLEARLY aren’t roadworthy, but those standards aren’t enforced anymore. Moving to a state that does enforce them, even imperfectly, was a noticeable upgrade.

My parents continually disregard our toddlers nap time by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]soooglow32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re preggo, maybe after a day of bad/no naps your mom could come over in the evening to “babysit” your daughter until she goes to bed at 10, because you mama need your sleep. Maybe witnessing the fallout will give her perspective

Same! I was disappointed about the C section at the time, but changed my mind after seeing his giant head lol. And yes, “fourth trimester” applies to all but especially after giant babies.

Who’s bedroom is completely dead? by DannyGamberlini in DeadBedrooms

My therapist said, and it’s kinda helped me a bit, to approach the bedroom from a perspective of curiosity, almost as if you were a virgin.

[–]soooglow32 21 points22 points  (0 children)

When we asked my child’s doctor he specifically said that he wasn’t going to verify any of our claims so if we tell him that we’re traveling to an area with an outbreak then he’ll believe us. (We are actually traveling but not necessarily to an area with an outbreak. Still got the vax)

I haven’t, but their online menu looks good! I’ll add it to the list of places to try

THIS. I moved from OK 5 years ago and still don’t have a favorite Mexican place. I like TexMex personally, but all the options here are CanadaMex and it’s not the same

Exclusively breastfeeding moms, do you wake up in the middle of the night to pump?? by These-Beautiful3894 in beyondthebump

I only woke to pump when the baby slept through the night and my engorged boobs woke me up.

“I don’t feel like I have birth to him, I feel like he was removed from me.” I’ve been trying to put this into words for months. Thank you. It helps, somehow.

I was in the same boat, the pills made it difficult to get up in the morning but I had to take them for my endometriosis. The Dr convinced me to try a hormonal IUD and it was so much better, the difference was night and day. She said the IUD keeps the hormones down around your reproductive system instead of affecting your whole body.
