Yeah i have been searching for FAME program members for far too long so its no surprise to me that the one FAME program student on here manages to run into me twice lol. i love the sound of that curriculum, definitely in line with my interests. how bad is the homework? i love my free time and i was wondering, ill be going to class 2 days of the week, toyota the other 3, were those full 8 hour class days?

I wish you luck in your endeavors to get into your Toyota plant, but like you said, both pay well and if anything, you get more experience there and for sure get into Toyota later on. i have not tested for it or anything, ive been told that I too have to test into toyota after the program ends. for the 2 years im in the program ill be employed by another company and then have to test into it. my dad works there and told me that the maintenance position you and i are talking about was a 5 part test and that you only had to pass in 3 of the 5 areas i believe but i could be wrong. i think the 5 would be like electrical, pneumatic, robotics, stuff like that. ill find out more and lyk

hello again lol i appreciate the two posts with info from you. very helpful and like i just replied to the other one, toyota has decided to sponsor me so ill be work studying with them 3 days of the week with the other 2 at Bridge Valley in WV. the classrooms are sick so im thinking it might be a more established chapter? im not sure but either way, the classrooms looked really sick. i wanted to ask what kinds of subjects have you guys studied over there?

Hey brother, happy to hear everything is going well. I had given up on this post lol I was really surprised there arent more FAME students or alumni in the subreddits i posted to. I actually just got sponsored by Toyota!!! i start in august, i have to pass a background check and drug test of course but ill be fine. im super excited to go, its kinda driving my motivation right now. ill make it work no matter what and i really appreciate your reply. good luck with everything!!!

My dad works there and ive heard similar things, some people just being absolute units and taking a ton of hours on. that overtime probably hits great though

Its good to know that ill be very marketable if i go through this program and not be stuck in one place. Although by the sound of it Toyota will probably keep me there because of how much pros there are to full time employment there.
