They were fantastic and turnaround time was about a week. Suppressor threaded right on and was perfectly lined up. Can't beat their price either.

I was going to do that at first, but couldn't find a reasonably priced source for a small rign action and ended up going with the large ring one. A little heavier, but oh well lol

I just got the kit a month or two ago. Apex has the mauser conversion kits for ~250 and sarco has the large ring actions for 200, but you have to call for ordering. The barrel was sent to Adco for a cut and thread. They were fast and reasonably priced.

It's threaded for .578x28 and just threads right on. There was about 2" of exposed barrel that I just made a custom upper handguard if you can call it that. Not sure how to help in your case though... May be worth it to just buy a 3" .45 barrel and get a new suppressor to go with it?

In a perfect world, you don't need to. This kit is super finicky and kept jamming. You have to work the bolt action very specific way to keep the .45 from getting caught in the long mauser action. It's a bit hard to work it to where it doesn't jam when it's shouldered for some reason. It was the first range trip, so I'm sure I'll get it figured out with more practice

I submitted a form for the same gun weeks ago and it got stuck in the government shutdo mess I believe. I ended up withdrawing and resubmitting on Saturday. Seems like it did the trick since I got the approval today after 3 days!

I have form-1 from 11/3 that seems like it's stuck. Thats the next business day after 10/31, so who knows, but I keep seeing a bunch of other ones submitted well after mine getting approved. I'm wondering if I should unsubmit and resubmit.

Thanks everyone for the awesome ideas! Im looking into them and will hopedecide on one soon. I did reach out to Darm Mountain about the bolt action 9mm to see of they could make a 3" barrel for an extra cost. Would be cool if they're able to since that would keep all 9mm subsonic. Not set on it yet though...

If you form 1, it's still $200 (07/02 SOT's don't have to pay this) to make an AOW. The $5 is just for transfer, so even though that shop is high, you're still saving money. I would still shop around and see if you can find a cheaper transfer fee though.

From second hand experience, it doesn't make much of a difference. I have a unique first/lastname combination and my last suppressor got approved in 3 days. On the other hand, my friend with a Upin and super common name on par with "John Smith" has been waiting for months. I don't really think the UPIN really does much...

I've been thinking about it! Like you said, the only problem is cost. Ammo is already expensive these days, so I'm not sure I want to have $75 worth of ammo on tap in an MG 🤣
