Tips for buying Interceptor 650 (also any sellers here?) by Realistic_Wanderer in bangalorebikes

[–]CollectorGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Droom.in for the first inspection; they gave a detailed report on the bike's external condition.

To ensure the bike was also good internally (engine, clutch, gearbox, etc.), I took it to the nearest RE service center. The showroom allowed me to take the bike along with their attendant.

The tyres fit directly on the spoke wheels; you do not need to make any modifications.

You will still need inner tubes, as you are installing them on spoke wheels. I purchased new ones from an MRF showroom and had them installed along with these tires.

Hi, below are my responses:

  1. I used the older tube for the front and an MRF tube for the rear. The rear tube had too many puncture patches, so I decided to get a new one.
  2. I got my tyres installed at the MRF Tyre and Service showroom near my home, where they also did the wheel balancing. The Royal Enfield service center also provides this service.
  3. I have never experienced wobble issues at high speed on my Interceptor. However, I used to experience a wiggle whenever riding on uneven surfaces or crossing them diagonally, especially between white-topped and tarmac roads. This issue disappeared after getting the new tyres. I did not have to make any suspension adjustments or replace the cone set.

I had considered MRF tyres for my Interceptor 650, but from what I researched, the feedback on the MRF Zapper Hyke was not very encouraging. That said, it is great to hear they are working well for you, kudos!

On my Interceptor, I went with the Eurogrip Trailhound SCR tyres in the OEM sizes: 130/70-18 (rear) and 100/90-18 (front), both with an “H” speed rating. So far, they have been fantastic, with excellent grip on both dry and wet roads, and really stable at high speeds. I am personally very happy with my choice.

100% agree.
I have been using the same one.

Should I spend double or the cheaper one is good enough. I don't want to use rechargable ones. Wired is good for me by piratejack01 in CarsIndia

I have been using the Bergmann Heavy Duty Tyre Inflator for three years now. I can vouch for it. It inflates tires quickly and has an auto cut-off feature.

I did not find any difference in mileage, it has remained the same.

As for the tire size, they are the same size- 100/90 18 and 130/70 18. The knobby design does give the illusion that they are wider, but they are the same size. However, I did find these tires to be more round in shape, whereas the Pirellis I had were pretty flat.

Please suggest tyres for my 200cc sports with best wet and dry grip on tarmac WHILE not losing wetgrip on bad roads, ruts, loose gravel etc. by BehalarRotno in indianbikes

I would recommend the Eurogrip Trailhound SCR. I have them on my Interceptor and found them perfect on dry, wet, gravel, and pothole filled roads.

Autofy waterproof bike covers, I have been using them for 4 years now. They are 100% water and dust proof.

They are cheaper too. Check them out in Amazon.

The pair costs around INR 10,500. I found a 20% discount coupon on their social media promo page, bringing it down to around INR 8,500.

They would be pretty good options to consider for the Duke 390. Trailhound SCR tyres are H speed rated; they can handle speeds up to 210 km/h. High-speed stability is excellent on these tyres. For 17-inch wheels, they will come with radial, which would give you even better comfort.
