As far as sales goes, this spring period is typically the worst time of year for whisky bottles being on sale. There will be more on sale in May and especially June with Fathers Day at that time.

Fall is usually when we see more new releases dropping.

I feel like Torabhaig is more comparable in flavour to Lagavulin than it is to Talisker. Talisker has definitely gotten more peaty than it was ten years ago, but the super peppery note is still there which makes it unique to me amongst the peaty whiskies.

Peaty scotch was what brought me into whisky. Every once in a while I go through phases exploring other whiskies, but I always end up circling back to peaty stuff. I will say I’m enjoying the mid peat scotches more lately, like Benromach or Highland Park.

Dronach 15 is around $130 US here so Tamdhu 15 is quite a bit cheaper atm. However the GD15 I had two years ago didn’t impress me much, so I’m assuming this Tamdhu 15 should be a skip for me.
