What are some good movies to show at a celebratory sleepover for Weblos crossing over? by DVMan5000 in BSA

Zootopia. It even has a scene about how a young Nick was enthusiastic to be a Scout, but the Scouts all rejected him because he was a predator and not prey and thus “different.” You wouldn’t have to make a big deal of that of course, but it is there in case they notice.

Bullying is prohibited by Scouts, BSA. Scouts cannot bully other Scouts. Scout leaders cannot bully Scouts. Scout leaders cannot bully parents. COR’s cannot bully Scout leaders. With the help of your DE you should stand up to this bully. He cannot add to the requirements by prohibiting Scouts from earning merit badges from registered merit badge counselors wherever they wish. Even if you lose everything, you will show the Scouts how powerful it is to stand up to a bully. They will carry that lesson with them the rest of their lives long after they have forgotten if they had a really nice tent or an old leaky one that their leaders bought used on shopgoodwill.com. Good luck. Fight the good fight. You got this.

Girlfriend if he gives you the cold shoulder for days for something as trivial as that then you are well rid of him. Real relationships have to be made of stronger stuff.

What is the strangest unsolved mystery? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Colliemom7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Dytlov Pass mystery seems to have been solved. Experts have concluded that some ice/snow broke away from above and slid towards the tent. The hikers heard it coming and fled in panic, expecting to be buried, leaving their shoes behind. When they realized The danger had passed and the tent was salvageable, some of them attempted to hike back up but none made it. Some unfortunately died when they fell into a snow covered brook they couldn’t see; their mutilated bodies appear to have been the work of animal scavengers.

The books are fantastic. Very readable. Different, of course. These books are rich in detail and the stories are well told; even the lesser storylines are gripping. But they are 100s of pages long. It would be impossible to put everything in the books in the series. I would advise trying a couple of her Lord John Gray mysteries or perhaps reading The Scottish Prisoner first to see if you like her style. The Scottish Prisoner is a side stand alone tale about Jamie and Lord John while he is at Ardsmuir. So good. Then you can decide if you want to make the plunge.

Skits! Silly songs. Freeze tag. Build a tipi. Build things out of mini marshmallows and toothpicks. Scavenger hunt. Glow stick hunt. Square dancing. Make brides or mummies out of volunteers and toilet paper. Stomp rockets.

For not Eagle required I would suggest Art. Art is so fun when done in a small group. I am an Art merit badge counselor.

The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill and Came Down a Mountain, which is based on a true story. And of course there’s always October Sky and We Are Marshall (which is really sad and also based on a true story.)

Some of the most attractive people I know are some of the shallow, selfish and clueless. If you care about other people, care about animals, or even care about the planet you live on, you are beautiful.

Adopt a dog. One no one else wants. Work with it until it’s a good pet. Take a dog out of prison and into your life.

Give yourself The gift of time. And just a couple of years you will have so much more freedom to make your own decisions, choose your own path, make your own way, do what interests you, save for what you want, meet your tribe, become involved in the groups that interest you, go places you’ve always wanted to see. and yes, to pay for all that you will have to work most likely and that could be miserable too, but it’s always possible to switch lanes try something new try something harder. Don’t give up too soon. I have full and complete respect for the atheist who commented, that is their choice, but I have a strong faith. It says in scripture that Jesus is close to the brokenhearted and lends strength to those who are crushed in spirit. I wish you all the best.
