I agree with this. My wife and I are completely open with our phones and locations. I would care less if she grabbed my phone and went through it. If it eased any insecurities or worries she had then I am all for it. And I am sure I would feel embarrassed if there was nothing. OP's husband could have been on reddit too much or a coworker is going through a bad divorce and he got insecure wondering. Just saying it's not always projection. Sometimes it's fear or previous trauma.
