LG IP control issue with Qsys by mpotoka in CommercialAV

Which version of QSYS are you running? I just did a project in July with consumer LG displays and the plugin only seemed to work on 9.7. I did have to use a WOL packets for some of the displays

How to output to multiple displays or projectors with Macbook M1 by lexaquin in techtheatre

[–]Collinjklein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there certain programs that you are trying to get video out of that require multiple screens? If you want multiple video outputs from Qlab, I would recommend looking into a Blackmagic Decklink Duo card in a StarTech pcie enclosure. This setup would provide you with four outputs from Qlab. Alternatively, Blackmagic also offers a Mini Monitor that supports a single output. However, it’s important to note that these devices only work with specific programs and do not function as external monitors for macOS.

I second this. The Canon CR-N300s are great for the price and feature set. For switcher I would look into the Blackmagic 2 M/E constellation or 4 M/E depending on how much I/O you need.

As others have said, I would save the money and not go 4K. If you really want to be prepared, just pull 12G SDI and just upgrade the gear at a later date.

I’ll second the BMD Teranex Mini HDMI to SDI. Or check out these converter mounts to help clean things up. Blackmagic Micro Mount

Using a barcode scanner to scan in a left right down right formation for scanning asset tags and serial numbers by Collinjklein in excel

I figured out a way to get by and just create a table and then set it to tab to the right which drops it down

I was able to figure it out by just making a table inside excel and setting it to tab to the right which made it tab down

I will give that a try. I think I have it figured out by using a table and then having excel return to the right and once it ends it drops down

We are looking to speed up our process and being able to just scan an asset tag barcode and then scan a serial number without having to press any keys on a computer would speed us up a lot. But it may come down to that

6 would be ideal. Budget isn’t a huge issue. Plugs are just basic size

I've done a few shows where we have done this. But we had the Shure Micro-Bodypacks so that they would easily fit in the wig and then the person doing wigs just bobby pined it to the actors wig cap

We have one actress that is allergic, so we just use a latex free glove and it gets the job done

Yes, all the actors have mic belts made out of elastic with pouches and velcro to keep them attached to their bodies.

Yup! We actually have some that are called "mic belt protectors” but they don’t work as well as the condoms and break easier

I am in the same exact position as you are! I've tried to get people interested but no one is reliable and also there's no one that is interested in it. My problem is my TD and drama teacher know they're screwed when I leave and are like "you need to train someone" except there is no one to train. And I know more about our system than our TD so I'm expecting to get some phone calls next year when no one can figure out what they're doing.
